Here's another round up of the products that I've recently used up.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Serum (€ 35,70): I love this serum and I've already bought another bottle of it. It's lightweight and hydrating at the same time and it contains antioxidants which are very good for the skin.

Caudalie Eau de Beaute (from € 11,00): nice product, not life-changing (not for me, at least) but definitely something that's worth trying. It's a mist of essential oils that freshen up your face, hydrates the skin and alleviates inflammations and irritations. I like to keep the small size of this bottle in my bag, especially in summer time or when I travel.

Le Volume De Chanel mascara (€ 30,10): I love this mascara, it gives volume to my lashes without looking clumping. However, I haven't repurchased it because I wanted to try the Lancome Grandiose mascara (which I'm liking a lot).

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream (€ 10,00): although I love the smell of this hand cream, it's not moisturizing enough for me, especially in winter. Maybe it would be a nice hand cream for summertime.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): I love this eye cream, is very thick and hydrating, but it absorbs quickly and leaves the skin smooth and soft. However, I decided not to repurchase it (for now) and to try, instead, another Kiehl's eye cream which has a stronger anti aging power (see my review here).

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): I've talked a lot about this cleanser in this blog, so you probably already know this is my all time favorite cleanser. It removes my make up without any effort, it's gentle and it leaves my skin super soft. I've already bought another bottle of it!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00): this is a nice lightweight moisturizer aimed to combination to oily skins, however right now my skin needs something a bit more hydrating, so I'm not going to buy it again for now. 

Roc Retin-Ox Correxion Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (€ 23,60): I hate this eye cream. I can't tell if it is actually able to fight wrinkles, all I know is that I doesn't give any kind of moisture to my under eye area, so that any fine line looks even more noticeable. I won't buy it again!

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Power (€ 28,90): I don't think this it a bad powder, it's lightweight, it's not visible on the skin and has a decent staying power. However I like the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder a lot more, so I won't buy this one again.

L'Oreal Professionnel Lumino Contrast Thermo Protective Xylose (€ 14,95): this thermo-protective spry makes my hair shiny and soft and it has an amazing smell. However, at the moment I'm using the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer and I'm very happy with it, so I'm not going to buy this L'Oreal spry again for now.

Ecco un'altra carrellata dei prodotti che ho recentemente finito di usare.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Siero Anti-Rughe (€ 35,70): mi piace moltissimo questo siero, è leggero e idratante alle stesso tempo ed è ricco di antiossidanti, che sono una manna dal cielo per la nostra pelle. 

Caudalie Acqua di Bellezza (a partire da € 11,00): buon prodotto, non miracoloso (non per me, almeno), ma vale sicuramente la pena provarlo. Si tratta di un'acqua spray, ricca di oli essenziali, che rinfresca il viso, idrata la pelle e aiuta a lenire infiammazioni e rossori. Trovo che la versione in bottiglia piccola sia l'ideale da tenere in borsa, soprattutto d'estate o durante un viaggio, per rinfrescare il viso in qualunque momento. 

Mascara Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,10): ottimo mascara, volumizza le ciglia senza risultare grumoso. Tuttavia, per il momento non lo riacquisterò perché sto provando il mascara Grandiose di Lancome, che, peraltro, mi sta piacendo molto. 

The Body Shop Crema Mani e Unghie alla Mandorla (€ 10,00): sebbene ne adori il profumo, questa crema mani non risulta sufficientemente idratante per me, soprattutto durante la stagione invernale. Probabilmente potrebbe essere una valida soluzione per l'estate, ma per il momento non la ricomprerò.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): adoro questa crema per il contorno occhi, è molto ricca ed idratante, ma si assorbe rapidamente e lascia le pelle morbida e distesa. Tuttavia, ho deciso di non riacquistarla, almeno per il momento, e di provare, invece, un'altra crema occhi di Kiehl's con proprietà anti-aging un po' più forti (qui trovate la mia recensione).

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): ho già parlato molte volte di questo olio detergente alla camomilla, per cui ormai probabilmente saprete che è senza dubbio il mio struccante preferito di sempre. Rimuove senza difficoltà qualunque traccia di trucco, è delicato e lascia la mia pelle morbidissima. Ovviamente, l'ho già riacquistato.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00): questa crema idratante leggera e oil-free rappresenta sicuramente un valido prodotto per chi ha un pelle mista tendente al grasso. Tuttavia, poiché in questo periodo necessito di un maggior grado di idratazione, ho dovuto accantonarla per orientarmi verso una crema un po' più ricca. 

Roc Retin-Ox Correxion Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (€ 23,60): ho odiato questa crema per il contorno occhi. Non sono in grado di dirvi se sia o meno efficace nel combattere le rughe, tutto quello che so è che non ha alcun effetto idratante per il mio contorno occhi, tanto da rendere ogni minima ruga d'espressione ancora più visibile. Non ho alcuna intenzione di riacquistarla!

Too Faced cipria Primed & Poreless (€ 28,90): tutto sommato credo che questa cipria faccia un buon lavoro, non è pesante, è invisibile sulla pelle e ha una discreta capacità di fissare il trucco. Tuttavia, preferisco di gran lunga la cipria Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals, per cui non credo la riacquisterò. 

L'Oreal Professionnel Lumino Contrast Spray Lucidante Termo Protettivo (€ 14,95): questo spray protegge i capelli dal calore di phon e piastra e li rende morbidi e luminosi. Al momento, però, sto utilizzando il Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer e ne sono molto soddisfatta, per cui, per ora, non lo riacquisterò.

2014 favorites: the best of the best

As I told you in my December favorites post, I've decided to write a post about my favorite products of all 2014. Some of these products are new launches of the year, other are simply new to me, but they all are the products that I've liked the most this years. So, let's start!

SKINCARE

1- The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): this is my all time favorite make up remover. It's suitable for sensitive skin, it removes any kind of make up, even the waterproof one, and it leaves the skin soft and silky. 

2- Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask (€ 25,00): I'm a huge fan of purifying masks, I've tried quite a few this year, but my favorite is the Kiehl's one. It purifies the skin and makes the pores less visible. It's very effective but it doesn't dry out my skin.

3- Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): if you are looking for a simple rich eye cream, this is the perfect one. Although it's very rich, it absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving the under eye area soft and hydrated for long.

4- Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Serum (€ 35,70): this is a light weight, yet hydrating serum rich with antioxidants, which help fighting wrinkles and protecting the skin against environmental factors like UV rays, pollution, ecc. 

HAIRCARE AND BODYCARE

1- The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter (€ 15,00): this body butter is very rich and creamy and it leaves my skin incredibly soft and hydrated. And the smell is amazing, it makes me want to eat it!

2- Masterline Frizz Control Hair Serum for Straight Hair (€ 7,00): this is like gold in a bottle for my long straight hair. It makes it soft and frizz free, without being heavy or greasy. My hair just loves it!

3- Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer (€ 27,50): this product does everything you need for your hair: it protects it against heat and UV rays, it detangles it and makes it softer, silkier and frizz free. 

MAKE UP

1- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation (€ 38,00): I've tried a lot of different foundations this year, but I always go back to this one. It's lightweight, it doesn't look cakey, it has a light but buildable coverage and it has the most beautiful natural and luminous finish.

2- BareMinerlas Mineral Veil Powder (€ 26,50): hands down the best powder I've ever used. It keeps my make in place all day long, it doesn't feel heavy and it makes my skin look silky and flawless.

3- Nars Creamy Concealer (€ 27,50): although I find that this concealer looks a bit cakey under my eyes, I think it does an mazing job in covering imperfections and rednesses. Thanks to its creamy consistency, it's very easy to blend and it can achieve a quite high coverage without feeling heavy. 

4- Mac Lipstick in the shade Brave (€ 19,00): this is a recent discovery but has suddenly become my favorite lipstick of the year. It's a beautiful mauve pink shade with a satin finish that makes my lips look instantly more plump.  

5- Mac Era eyeshadow (€ 18,00): this is another recent discovery, but it has become my favorite every day eyeshadow. It's a beautiful soft golden beige, perfect to be used in the creases of the eyelids in order to give definition to the eyes.

Come vi ho accennato nel mio post sui preferiti di Dicembre, ho deciso di scrivere un post che riassuma tutti quelli che sono stati i miei prodotti preferiti del 2014. Alcuni sono stati nuovi lanci, altri sono semplicemente prodotti che non avevo mai provato prima, ma sono tutti prodotti che mi hanno conquistata e sono entrati nella mia routine quotidiana. Bene, iniziamo!

CURA DELLA PELLE

1- Olio Detergente alla Camomilla di The Body Shop (€ 16,00): si tratta senza dubbio del mio struccante preferito di sempre. E' adatto alle pelli sensibile, rimuove qualunque tipo di trucco, compreso quello resistente all'acqua,  e lascia la pelle morbida e vellutata.

2- Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask (€ 25,00): sono una grande amante delle maschere purificanti, quest'anno ne ho provate parecchie, ma questa di Kiehl's rimane la mia preferita. Purifica la pelle e minimizza l'aspetto dei pori; sebbene si molto efficace, non secca o irrita la pelle.

3- Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): se cercate una  semplice crema idratante per il contorno occhi, questa è la scelta perfetta. Sebbene sia molto ricca, si assorbe immediatamente e lascia le pelle del contorno occhi morbida ed idratata a lungo.

4- Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Siero (€ 35,70): si tratta di un siero per il viso molto idratante ma, allo stesso tempo, leggero, ricco di antiossidanti, che aiutano a prevenire e ridurre l'aspetto delle rughe e a proteggere la pelle da fattori ambientali come raggi UV e inquinamento. 

CURA DEI CAPELLI E DEL CORPO

1- The Body Shop Balsamo corpo al Burro di Cacao (€ 15): si tratta di un balsamo corpo molto ricco che lascia la pelle incredibilmente morbida ed idratata. Inoltre, ha un profumo così buono che fa venire voglia di mangiarlo!

2- Masterline Siero Liscio Frizz Control (€ 7,00): questo serio è come oro in bottiglia per i miei capelli lunghi e lisci. Li rende molto più morbidi e combatte  efficacemente l'effetto crespo senza appesantirli. I miei capelli lo adorano!

3- Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer (€ 27,50): questo prodotto fa praticamente tutto quello che serve ai nostri capelli: li protegge dal calore e dai raggi UV, li districa, li rende morbidi, setosi e previene l'effetto crespo.  

MAKE UP

1- Fondotinta Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (€ 38,00): ho avuto modo di provare diversi fondotinta nel corso dell'anno, ma alla fine trono sempre a questo. E' leggero e impercettibile sulla pelle, ha una coprenza bassa ma modulabile e dona alla pelle uno splendido effetto luminoso ma naturale. 

2- Cipria Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals (€ 26,50): è senza dubbio la mia cipria preferita. Fissa il trucco per tutto il giorno, non risulta pesante e fa apparire la mia pelle vellutata e liscia. 

3- Nars Correttore Eclat (€ 27,50): nonostante trovi che questo correttore risulti troppo corposo per essere usato sotto gli occhi, trovo che faccia un ottimo lavoro nel coprire imperfezioni e rossori. La sua consistenza cremosa lo rende facile da sfumare e ne garantisce l'elevata coprenza, senza che risulti pesante sulla pelle. 

4- Rossetto di Mac nella tonalità Brave (€ 19,00): questo rossetto è una scoperta recente, ma è subito diventato il mio rossetto preferito tra tutti quelli che ho provato nel 2014. La sua tonalità è un bellissimo rosa malva con un finish satinato che fa sembrare le mie labbra più piene a carnose. 

5- Ombretto di Mac "Era" (€ 18,00): anche in questo caso si tratta di una recente scoperta, ma è subito diventato il mio ombretto preferito per tutti i giorni. E' un meraviglioso beige dorato, perfetto da essere utilizzato nella piega dell'occhio per dare maggior definizione allo sguardo.

Nail polishes dupes

I don't know when and how it happened, but at some point in my life I started collecting nail polishes. I've got so many of them that sometimes I buy a shade I already own just because I've forgotten about it. That is why I've found in my collection some cheaper dupes of more expensive nail polishes.

I've been wanting the Chanel 535 "May" (€ 23,55) nail polish for month when it first came out, and when I finally bought it I was a bit disappointed. The color is a beautiful baby pink, very sophisticated and glamour, but the quality of the product itself is quite bad, especially if you think about the price! It leaves an uneven coverage and the consistency is a bit too thick, so that it takes some time to apply it. I very much prefer my beloved Essie "Flawless" nail polish (€ 13,95), which has pretty much the same shade of the Chanel one, but it's so much quicker and easier to apply and has a more creamy consistency.

One of my favorite fall/winter nail polish is Essie's Berry Naughty (€ 13,95), a gorgeous deep berry red shade that looks amazing for the day time as well as for the night time. As I said above, the quality of Essie's nail polishes is amazing, but if you want to save some money, Kiko Nail Lacquer in the shade 243 (€ 2,90) is a great option. The shades are very similar, the Kiko one has a more purple undertone, but the difference is subtle. I think that Essie has a higher quality, but Kiko nail polishes are not bad and they're a lot cheaper!

One of my favorite spring/summer shade is, instead, the n. 281 from Kiko (€ 2,90), a beautiful vibrant lobster red color that, in my opinion, is much more girly and peculiar than a classic red shade. Clinique makes a nail polish of the exactly same shade, called "06 Happy" (14,00), but I don't like it at all. Besides the fact that it's more expensive, it doesn't last more than one day on my nails. I like the consistency and it applies evenly, but for some reason, it doesn't hold and, after a few hours, it stars to come off. Kiko definitely wins in this case!

Another Kiko dupe for a more expensive nail polish is the shade n. 339 (€ 2,90), a lovely periwinkle blue shade that is perfect in every time of the year. You definitely need to apply two hands of this nail polish, because one has not enough coverage, but I always apply two coats of nail polish, so it doesn't bother me. This shade is extremely similar to the Essie's Lapiz of Luxury (€ 13,95), I think that the only difference is that the lilac undertone is less noticeable in the Essie one. Again, Kiko offers a great cheaper alternative!

Non so bene come e quando è successo, ma pare che ad un certo punto della mia vita io abbia iniziato a collezionare smalti. Ne ho talmente tanti che a volte mi ritrovo ad acquistare tonalità che già possiedo, ma delle quali mi sono totalmente scordata.  Questo è il motivo per cui, passando in rassegna la mia collezione, ho trovato dei sostituti economici di smalti più costosi. 

Ho bramato di possedere lo smalto 535 "May" di Chanel (€ 23,55) per mesi quando è stato messo in commercio, e, quando finalmente l'ho acquistato, sono rimasta un po' perplessa. Il colore è un bellissimo rosa pastello, molto delicato ed elegante, ma la qualità del prodotto in sé è abbastanza deludente, soprattutto se si considera il prezzo. L'effetto finale non è affatto uniforme e la consistenza è un po' troppo densa, il che ne rende difficile la stesura. Preferisco di gran lunga il mio adorato smalto di Essie nella tonalità "Flawless" (€ 13,95); il colore è pressoché identico a quello di Chanel, ma questo è molto più facile e veloce da applicare e la sua consistenza cremosa fa sì che l'effetto finale sia impeccabile.

Uno dei miei smalti preferiti per l'autunno/inverno è "Berry Naughty" di Essie (€ 13,95), un bellissimo bordeaux intenso, perfetto per il giorno tanto quanto per la sera. Come ho detto prima, la qualità degli smalti di Essie è davvero buonissima, tuttavia, se volte risparmiare, il Kiko Nail Lacquer nella tonalità 243 (€ 2,90) rappresenta una valida alternativa. Le due tonalità sono molto simili tra loro, quello di Kiko tende un po' più al prugna, ma la differenza è davvero minima. Certo, come qualità vince sempre Essie, ma gli smalti di Kiko non si comportano affatto male e sono decisamente più economici!

Uno degli smalti che preferisco per la primavera/estate, invece, è il n. 281 di Kiko (€ 2,90), un bellissimo rosso aragosta vibrante, a mio parere molto più femminile e particolare del classico rosso. Lo smalto "06 Happy" di Clinique (€ 14,00) è esattamente identico, tuttavia quest'ultimo non mi piace per nulla. Al di là del fatto che sia più caro di quello di Kiko, questo smalto non dura più di una giornata sulle mie unghie. Benché si stenda molto bene ad abbia una consistenza molto fluida, salta via troppo facilmente. Kiko vince a mani basse!

Un altro smalto di Kiko che rappresenta un copia di uno smalto più costoso è il n. 339 (€ 2,90), un bellissimo azzurro pervinca, perfetto in qualunque periodo dell'anno. Un solo strato di questo smalto non è sufficiente, poiché ha un coprenza molto leggera, ma normalmente tendo sempre ad applicare due strati di qualunque smalto, per cui la cosa non costituisce per me un problema. Questo colore è estremamente simile a "Lapiz of Luxury" di Essie (€ 13,95), l'unica differenza consiste probabilmente nel fatto che nello smalto di Essie il sottotono lilla è meno evidente. In ogni caso, Kiko offre di nuovo una valida alternativa economica!

The pink lips edition

After my post about nude lipsticks (here), I've decided to write a post about pink/fucsia ones. I own quite a few of them, probably because pink, in all its shades, is the kind of color that looks good for every look in every season.

Having a fair skin tone, light pastel baby pink lipsticks usually don't look good on me, so I tend to choose bolder shades. That is why the lighter lipsticks I own, in pink shades, are not properly light. The first one is the Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00) in the color n. 479 "Magique", a beautiful coral pink shade with a warm undertone (see full review here). It looks like a gloss, but the finish is quite velvety and the color payoff is amazing. The other one is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) in the shade n. 42 "L'éclatante", a gorgeous bright pink with a matte finish and a creamy velvety texture. It doesn't dry out the lips, like most matte finish lipsticks do, and it has a very good lasting power.

Moving to a true fucsia shade, suitable for the day time, I have a couple of options. The first one is the Clinique Chubby Stick (€ 17,50) in the shade n. 15 "Pudgy Peony", a moisturizing tinted lip balm with a creamy consistency and a sheer but buildable color intensity. The shade is a nice fucsia with a blu undertone. The Dior Addict Lipstick (€ 30,90) in the shade n. 778 " Show" has a warmer undertone and a quite more luminous finish, but, like the Clinique Stick, it has a quite sheer, although buildable, color payoff. 

For a night time or special occasions look, my favorite lipstick is the Shiseido Perfect Rouge (€ 25,95) in the shade RS 320, which is the most amazing fucsia shade I've ever seen. It has an intense blu undertone, so it's more like a magenta color with a touch of pink. The formula is amazing as well: it has a creamy texture that makes it extremely comfortable on the lips, the finish is more on the matte side and the color payoff and the lasting power are great. Another great option is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) in the shade n. 37 "L'Exuberante", a bright fucsia shade with a touch of red and the perfect dose of cold and warm undertone, so that it would suit any skin tone. I love the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks, their formulation is brilliant, the velvety finish is gorgeous and the color payoff is great.

Dopo il mio post a proposito dei rossetti color nude (qui), ho deciso di scriverne uno in merito ai rossetti rosa/fucsia, poiché trovo che questo colore, declinato in tutte le sue tonalità, si addica bene a qualunque look in qualunque periodo dell'anno.

Avendo una carnagione pallida, tendenzialmente i rossetti rosa pastello molto chiaro non mi donano particolarmente, motivo per cui tendo sempre a scegliere colori un po' più decisi, che ravvivino il mio incarnato. Ecco perché i due rossetti rosa più chiari che possiedo non sono propriamente "chiari". Il primo è il Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00) nella tonalità n. 479 "Magique", un bellissimo rosa corallo con sottotono caldo (trovate la review completa qui). Sembra un gloss, ma il finish è piuttosto vellutato e l'intensità del colore è ottima. L'altro rossetto è il Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) nella tonalità n. 42 "L'éclatante", un meraviglioso rosa acceso con un finish matte ed una consistenza cremosa e vellutata. A differenza della maggior parte dei rossetti con finish opaco, questo non secca le labbra e dura molto a lungo. 

Passando ad una tonalità di fucsia utilizzabile durante il giorno, ho un paio di opzioni. La prima è il Clinique Chubby Stick (€ 17,90) nel colore n. 15 "Pudgy Peony", un balsamo labbra idratante e colorato, con una consistenza cremosa ed un'intensità leggera ma modulabile. Il colore è un bel fucsia con sottotono blu. Il Dior Addict Lipstick (€ 30,90) nella tonalità n. 778 "Show", invece, ha un sottotono più caldo ed un finish leggermente più luminoso, ma, come il Chubby Stick, ha un'ntensitò di colore abbastanza leggera, sebbene modulabile. 

Per un look da sera o da occasioni speciali, il mio rossetto preferito è il Shiseido Perfect Rouge (€ 25,95) nel colore RS 320, la più bella e particolare tonalità di fucsia che abbia mai visto. Ha un intenso sottotono blu, che lo rende più simile al magenta che non al fucsia. Anche la formulazione è ottima: la sua texture cremosa lo rende estremamente confortevole sulle labbra, il finish è leggermente matte e la sua intensità di colore, così come la sua tenuta, è notevole. Un'altra ottima scelta è il Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) nel colore n. 37 "L'Exuberante", un'accesa tonalità di fucsia con un tocco di rosso ed il perfetto equilibrio tra sottotono caldo e sottotono freddo, che lo rende adatto a qualsiasi carnagione. Adoro i rossetti di Chanel di questa linea, hanno una formulazione davvero brillante, il loro finish vellutato è meraviglioso ed il payoff di colore eccezionale.

Face of the week

Being a beauty and make up addict, I almost never wear the same make up products one day after the other, because I always like to try new products and different combinations. However, this week, every time I've worn make up, I've been loyal to the same look.

For my base, the only one that I've reached for has been the Bare Minerals Matte foundation (€ 28,90). I like it because it's so lightweight that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing foundation at all. The coverage is light, but I'm fine with that, I can always add some concealer if I need to. Moreover, when I set it with a powder, it lasts all day. My shade is Light W15.

Speaking of concealer, the one that I've been using this week is my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer (€ 27,50), which, even if it's not my favorite concealer in the world for the under eye area, has the merit of having a very good coverage and lasting power. Moreover, is very quick and easy to apply, I blend it with my finger and the work is done.

For my blush, I've been using the Rockateur Blush by Benefit (€ 33,50) all Summer long. I've talked about it in my July favorites here and my opinion hasn't changed. I think it's a beautiful shade and I'm pretty sure it would suit any skin tone.

To set everything in place, I've been using the Primed & Poreless loose powder by Too Faced (€ 28,90). Even if I still love the Mineral Veil powder by Bare Minerals better, this powder does a quite good job in keeping my T-zone matte for a good amount of hours and leaves a very nice silky finish on my skin.

I've been keeping my eyes make up pretty basic. On the eyelids I've been using the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow by Kiko (€ 6,90) in the shade 07, a beautiful golden champagne shade that instantly brightens the eyes. These stick eyeshadows by Kiko are brilliant, the color payoff is amazing and their lasting power is great.

Normally, I would use a brown mascara, especially for the day time, but, since I've been keeping my eye make up so simple, I have been reaching for Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,00), in the black shade, in order to make my lashes stand out. I really like this mascara, it's volumizing but, at the same time, it gives a very polished look to my lashes.

Finally, on my lips I've been using the Maybelline Baby Lips (€ 4,15) lip balm in the shade "Cherry me", in order to keep them hydrated and, at the same time, add a bit of color. I have a few of the Baby Lips lip balms, but this one is my favorites by far. It gives a nice cherry color to the lips, but it's very sheer and natural. Lovely.

Essendo appassionata di make up e di prodotti di bellezza in genere, mi capita raramente di scegliere di indossare lo stesso make up per due giorni consecutivi, poiché amo continuamente provare nuovi prodotti e diversi abbinamenti. Tuttavia, nell'ultima settimana, tutte le volte che ho deciso di truccarmi, sono rimasta fedele allo stesso look.

Per quanto riguarda la base, l'unico fondotinta per il quale ho optato in questi giorni è stato il Bare Minerals Matte (€ 28,90), che possiedo nella tonalità Light W15. Questo prodotto mi pace perché è talmente leggero sulla pelle che pare di non indossare nulla. Certo, la coprenza non è alta, ma la cosa non rappresenta un problema per me: se ne sento la necessità, posso sempre ricorrere ad un po' di correttore. Inoltre, se fissato con una buona cipria, dura tutto il giorno senza lucidarsi.

A proposito di correttore, quello che sto utilizzando ogni giorno è il correttore Eclat di Nars (€ 28,90), il quale, sebbene non sia il mio preferito per l'area sotto gli occhi, ha l'innegabile pregio di avere una buonissima coprenza ed un'ottima tenuta. Inoltre, la sua applicazione è semplice e veloce: lo sfumo con le dita ed il gioco è fatto.

Per quanto riguarda il blush, ho utilizzato il Rockateur di Benefit (€ 33,50) praticamente per tutta l'estate. Ne avevo già parlato nel post relativo ai preferiti del mese di Luglio, che trovate qui, e la mia opinione non è cambiata di una virgola. Trovo che sia una tonalità meravigliosa e sono convita che si addica a qualunque tipo di carnagione.

Per fissare il tutto, sto utilizzando la cipria in polvere libera Primed & Poreless di Too Faced (€ 28,90). Pur preferendole la Minerla Vail di Bare Minerals, questa cipria riesce comunque abbastanza bene nell'intento di mantenere la mia zona T opaca per un buon numero di ore e dona alla pelle un bellissimo finish setoso. 

Ho deciso di mantenere il trucco sugli occhi molto basico. Sulle palpebre mi sono limitata ad applicare il Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow di Kiko (€ 6,90) nella tonalità 07, un bellissimo color champagne dorato che illumina istantaneamente gli occhi. Questi ombretti in stick di Kiko sono davvero ottimi, hanno un resa di colore eccellente e durano tutto il giorno anche senza primer.

Normalmente opterei per un mascara marrone, soprattutto per il giorno, ma, poiché ho mantenuto il trucco sugli occhi così minimal, sto preferendo ricorrere a Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,00) nel colore nero, così da far risaltare al massimo le ciglia. Questo mascara mi piace moltissimo, è volumizzante ma, la tempo stesso, conferisco un aspetto ordinato e definito alle mie ciglia.

Per finire, sulle labbra sto utilizzando il balsamo Baby Lips di Maybelline (€ 4,90) nella tonalità "Cherry Me", così da mantenerle idratate e, allo stesso tempo, aggiungere un tocco di colore. Possiedo alcuni di questi balsami labbra di Maybelline, ma questo è di gran lunga il mio preferito. Ravviva la tonalità delle labbra con una punta di color ciliegia, mantenendo l'effetto complessivo molto naturale.

June favorites

I can't believe June is already ending, time goes by so fast! So, here we are with my monthly favorite products. Let's start!

The first product is the Clarins Liquid bronze Self Tanning (€ 23,90). I'm not a fan of self-tanning products, they usually smell weird and they tend to leave the skin with an unpleasant orange color that is not cool at all. However, my skin is very fair and I don't like spending a lot of time in the sun, so I thought I needed some extra help to achieve a more healthy complexion. This self-tanning by Clarins is very good: it doesn't have any strange smell and it gives the skin a nice light tan, perfect for paler skins. It's meant to be used on face and décolleté, but I use it all over my body (except for my face, because my skin is freaking out in this period and I don't want to add new products, as I don't know how it might react!) and the result is very nice.

I've talked about the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (€ 45,50) in my latest "Currently loving" post here, so you already know I love this magic liquid. I use it every morning and evening and I can see a big improvement in my overall complexion: my skin is luminous and brighter and some discolorations I had are slowly fading away. 

This product already featured in my April favorites and I'm still in love with it: it's the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation (€ 39,50). It's the perfect foundation for summer, it's very lightweight, so you won't feel it on your skin, but it can also achieve a nice medium coverage if you need to conceal some imperfections. It has a beautiful velvety finish, not too matte not too glowing, and it has a good staying power. If you want to read my full review, you can find it here. 

In this season, if you want your make up to last you need to prime. I personally don't use a primer on a daily base, I prefer to touch up my make up with a powder if I need to, but in some special occasions I like to reach for The Body Shop Instablur all-in-one (€ 15,00). I like this primer because is very light weight and it absorbs quickly, making the skin instantly flawless and smoother. It not only extends the life of my make up, but it hides any imperfection on the skin. 

My favorite lip product of June has to be the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in the shade Lodhi (€ 25,50), a vibrant coral shade with a creamy finish. It doesn't dry out my lips and it lasts pretty good. I like the shade, it's not too orange nor too pink and the intensity of the color can be easily modulated. Moreover, thank to the fact that it comes as a pencil, it's very easy and quick to apply.

Non posso credere che Giugno stia già giungendo al termine, il tempo vola! Eccoci, quindi, ad un altro appuntamento con i miei prodotti preferiti del mese. Iniziamo.

Il primo prodotto è il Latte autoabbronzante di Clarins (€ 23,90). Non sono un'amante degli autoabbronzanti, trovo che, di solito, abbiano un odore strano e tendano a donare alla pelle una colorazione che vira in modo imbarazzante verso l'arancione...terribile! Tuttavia, la mia pelle è davvero molto chiara, quindi, non amando passare molto tempo stesa al sole, ho pensato che fosse necessario un aiutino extra per ottenere un colorito un po' più sano. Questo abbronzante di Clarins fa proprio al caso mio: non ha alcun odore particolare e, soprattutto, regala alla pelle una leggera abbronzatura dorata, ideale per le pelli più chiare. E' un prodotto che dovrebbe essere utilizzato su viso e décolleté, ma io lo applico su tutto il corpo (ad eccezione del viso, perché la mia pelle in questo periodo sembra impazzita, per cui non voglio che entri in contatto con prodotti ai quali non so come possa reagire!) e il risultato è molto bello.

Ho parlato del Siero Illuminante Anti-macchie della linea Vinoperfect di Caudalie (€ 45,50) nel mio ultimo "Currently loving" post qui, per cui sapete quanto io ami questo liquido magico. Lo utilizzo due volte al giorno, mattino e sera, tutti i giorni e posso notare come l'aspetto complessivo della mia carnagione stia migliorando progressivamente: la pelle è più luminosa e radiosa ed alunne macchioline rosse, residui di recenti infiammazioni, stanno lentamente scomparendo.

Questo prodotto ha già fatto la sua comparsa tra i miei preferiti di Aprile ed è tutt'ora tra i prodotti che amo di più: si tratta del fondotinta Perfection Lumiere Velvet di Chanel (€ 39,50). E' perfetto per l'estate, è talmente leggero sulla pelle che non sembra quasi di averlo, ma, allo stesso tempo, riesce a raggiungere una buona media coprenza qualora si renda necessario coprire qualche imperfezione. Dona alla pelle un bellissimo effetto vellutato, non troppo opaco né troppo luminoso, e la sua durata è molto buona. Se volete leggere la mia recensione completa, la trovare qui. 

In questa stagione, se volete che il vostro trucco duri a lungo, dovete affidarvi ad un buon primer. Personalmente non è uno step che tendo a fare su base giornaliera, preferisco, piuttosto, ritoccare il make up con la cipria, se necessario, tuttavia, in alcune occasioni speciali, mi piace affidarmi a Instablur All-in-one di The Body Shop (€ 15,00). Questo primer mi piace molto perché non è pesante e si assorbe velocemente, facendo immediatamente apparire la pelle liscia e levigata. Non solo prolunga la durata del make up, ma aiuta a nascondere ogni imperfezione.

Il mio prodotto per le labbra preferito di Giugno non poteva che essere la matita labbra Satin di Nars (€ 25,50) nella tonalità Lodhi, un meraviglioso corallo acceso con una consistenza cremosa. Non secca le labbra ed ha una durata molto buona. Adoro questo colore, non è né troppo aranciato né troppo rosato, e la sua intensità può facilmente essere modulata in base all'occasione. Inoltre, avendo la forma di una penna, è molto facile e veloce da applicare.

Another month has passed by and it's time again for my monthly beauty favorites. 

I've changed a lot of things in my beauty routine during the last month, so it was hard for me choosing the products that I've been loving the most, but eventually I managed to pick out some winners.

Let's start with the base. Yes, I know, I didn't need another foundation, but when I came across the Armani counter and I sow that the shade 02 Ivory of their Luminous Silk foundation (€ 44,95) was available, I couldn't help myself. I've been having this foundation on my wish list for ages, but I was never able to find the right shade since the lighter one was always out of stock. So you can understand why I had to buy it!

I've been wearing it almost every day and I'm completely sold. It's one of the most beautiful foundation I've ever used. Now I get why they use it on the set of Downton Abbey: it really creates the illusion of a flawless complexion, without looking cakey or being heavy on the skin. The coverage is medium, but it's very buildable. The finish is luminous in a very natural way. I don't find it to be too glowing or dewy, like someone says. I think it has the finish of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, maybe a little less luminous, and the coverage and lasting power of the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet. It's not super long-lasting on my combination skin, but if I set it with a good powder it lasts all day without any problem. It's amazing...and I feel a little bit like Lady Mary when I wear it!

Lisa Eldridge did it again! Yes, I bought the Clinique Airbrush Concealer (€ 21,50) because of her, again. This is the concealer she always uses under the eyes and she prefers it over the YSL touché éclat. I run out of my L'Oreal Lumi Magique concealer, so I decided to try this one. I have to say that they are very similar, so, if you don't want to spend a lot of money, the L'Oreal one is a great option. Anyway, I think the Clinique one is a little more long lasting and has a little more coverage. That being said, none of them has high coverage, so they might not be the best choices if you need to cover dark circles. They just highlight the under eyes area, giving a nice fresh and healthy look and instantly erasing any signs of fatigue. For me, anyway, they work perfectly.  

Sun protection is an important step in my everyday beauty routine, I always wear it if I'm going out. I've been using La Roche Posay spf for a long time, and I've always been very happy with it, but recently my aunt suggested my to try the Fotoprotector ISDIN ULTRA Fusion Fluid (€ 25,71), with spf 100+. It's more expensive then the LRP one, but it has spf 100+, so I decided to buy it anyway. I'm very impressed, it's super light weight, even if it has hight spf, it doesn't feel greasy at all and it absorbs nicely into the skin, without leaving any white cast. The only down side, for me, is that it protects only against UVA. Because my skin is very fair and a bit sensitive, if I'm going to expose myself at the sun, I'm going to need UVB protection as well, so this is not the kind of spf I would use if I'm going to the beach. Anyway, for the city it is a wonderful sun block.

I've finally run out of my YSL Baby Doll mascara. I've been liking it, but I didn't love it, so I decided to play safe and buy something I knew I was going to love: Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,00). I've never bought this mascara before, but I had a couple of samples that lasted me ages, so I was able to test it properly and the verdict was extremely positive. Now that I've finally bought it, I'm asking myself why I've been waiting so long: I love it. It gives my lashes great volume and definition and it's very easy to use. Sometimes volumizing mascaras are a bit messy and they can give your lashes a clumpy and spidery look. This is not the case with this product, which is the reason why I love it so much: great volume with no effort.

My last favorite for the month of May is the Dior Addict Extreme lipstick (€ 30,90) in the shade Riviera. This has always been one of my all time favorite lipsticks, but, for some reason, I reach for it the most during the spring/summer season. It's a sheer lipstick with a glossy finish that feels creamy and moisturizing on the lips. It has a beautiful coral shade that adapts nicely to the natural lips color, so that it doesn't result too orange. It's not super pigmented, but it can be build a little. Because of its sheer formula, it's very easy to apply and to retouch during the day. I've been wearing it almost every day this month and I can't get tired of it!

Un altro mese giunge al termine ed è di nuovo il momento di parlarvi dei prodotti che ho amato di più negli ultimi 30 giorni.

Nel corso di Maggio ho apportato molti cambiamenti nella mia beauty routine, motivo per cui scegliere una cerchia ristretta di prodotti che ho amato di più non è stato semplice. Alla fine, tuttavia, ho selezionato alcuni vincitori.

Iniziamo con la base. Sì, lo so, non avevo di certo necessità di acquistare un nuovo fondotinta, ma quando, passando vicino al counter di Armani, ho buttato l'occhio ed ho notato che era disponibile la tonalità 02 Ivory del Luminous Silk (€ 44,95), non sono stata in grado di trattenermi. A mia discolpa posso dire di aver avuto questo fondotinta nella mia wish list per anni, ma non sono mai stata in grado di trovare la giusta tonalità, poiché la più chiara era sempre esaurita. Quindi, capirete di certo perché non potevo lasciarmi scappare quest'occasione!

Da quando ne sono entrata in possesso l'ho indossato quasi ogni giorno e mi ha completamente conquistata, credo che sia uno dei fondotinta migliori che abbia mai avuto. Non faccio fatica a capire perché sia il fondotinta utilizzato sul set di Downton Abbey: è in grado di creare l'illusione di una pelle perfetta e sana, senza risultare finto o pesante. La coerenza è media, ma facilmente modulabile, e il finish è luminoso rimanendo, tuttavia, naturale. Non trovo, infatti, che sia estremamente luminoso, come molti, invece, sostengono. Credo che sia una via di mezzo tra il Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua ed il Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet, con il finish del primo, forse un po' meno brillante, e la tenuta e la coprenza del secondo. Non ha una durata eccelsa sulla mia pelle mista, ma, se fissato con una buona cipria, dura tranquillamente tutto il giorno. Lo adoro...e mi sento un po' Lady Mary quando lo indosso!

Lisa Eldridge l'ha fatto di nuovo! Ebbene sì, ho comprato il correttore in penna di Clinique (€ 21,50) per causa sua, ancora. Questo è, infatti, il correttore che di solito ama usare sotto gli occhi, preferendolo anche al Touché Eclat di YSL. Avendo finito il mio L'Oreal Lumi Magique, ho deciso, quindi, di orientarmi su quest'altro. Devo dire che i due sono abbastanza simili, per cui, se volete risparmiare, il correttore L'Oreal è una validissima alternativa. Tuttavia, trovo che la penna di Clinique abbia una maggiore durata ed una coprenza leggermente più alta. Detto questo, nessuno dei due ha una coprenza sufficiente per nascondere occhiaie o segni scuri, ma fanno un ottimo lavoro nell'illuminare lo sguardo ed eliminare in un istante ogni segno di stanchezza. Per me sono perfetti.

La protezione solare è uno step molto importante nella mie beauty routine quotidiana, non esco mai di casa senza averla applicata su viso e collo. Da molto tempo utilizzo le creme solari La Roche Posay e mi sono sempre trovata benissimo, tuttavia, recentemente, mia zia mi ha consigliato di provare la crema Fotoprotector ISDIN ULTRA Fusion Fluid (€ 25,71), con spf 100+. E' un po' più costosa delle creme LRP, tuttavia il fattore protettivo così alto mi ha spinta ad acquistala ugualmente. Sono rimasta davvero colpita da questa crema: ha la consistenza di un fluido, pertanto risulta leggerissima sulla pelle, nonostante l'elevato fattore protettivo, e si assorbe molto velocemente, senza lasciare alcun alone bianco, come fanno, invece, molte creme con spf. L'unica nota negativa, per quanto mi riguarda, risiede nel fatto che questo prodotto offre protezione solo contro gli UVA: poiché la mia pelle è molto chiara ed abbastanza sensibile, quando mi espongo al sole necessito di proteggermi anche contro gli UVB, motivo per cui questo non è il genere di prodotto su cui farei affidamento per andare in spiaggia o, in generale, per prendere il sole. Tuttavia, è una buonissima protezione solare per la vita in città.

Finalmente il mio YSL Baby Doll mascara è terminato. Mi è piaciuto, ma non l'ho amato, motivo per cui ho deciso di andare sul sicuro ed acquistare un mascara che sapevo avrei adorato: Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,00). Non avevo mai comprato questo prodotto prima, ma ho avuto una paio di camioncini che mi sono durati moltissimo, consentendomi, così, di testarlo accuratamente, con  un risultato molto positivo. Ora che l'ho finalmente acquistato, mi chiedo perché abbia aspettato così tanto: lo adoro. Dona alle ciglia volume e definizione ed è semplice e veloce da applicare. Spesso i mascara volumizzanti risultano difficili da usare e lasciano le ciglia appiccicate e poco definite. Non è il caso di questo prodotto, che regala un intenso volume lasciano le ciglia ordinate e definite.

L'ultimo prodotto preferito del mese di Maggio è il rossetto Dior Addict Extreme (€ 30,90) nella tonalità Riviera. In realtà è sempre stato uno dei miei rossetti preferiti, ma, per qualche ragione, tendo ad sceglierlo maggiormente durante la primavera/estate. Ha una formulazione molto leggera dal finish luminoso e mantiene le labbra cremose ed idratate. Riviera è una bellissima tonalità di corallo che tende ad adattarsi al tono naturale delle labbra, senza, quindi, virare troppo all'arancio. Non ha un pigmentazione fortissima, ma si più facilmente lavorare per intensificarne il colore. Grazie a questa sua consistenza leggera e cremosa risulta semplicissimo da applicare e facile da ritoccare nel corso della giornata. Ultimamente lo sto indossando quasi ogni giorni e non mi stanca mai.
