December favorites

For my December beauty favorites I decided to pick only few products, because I'm soon going to write a post about my top favorites of 2014 and I don't want to be repetitive and talk about the same products in every post!

I want to start with a new base I've recently discovered, the new Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide foundation by Laura Mercier (€ 48,00). It's a very liquid foundation, that needs to be well shaken before the application and, despite being extremely lightweight and looking very natural, it provides a good medium coverage and a beautiful smooth finish. The staying power is great, as well as the color selection. I have it in the shade "Shell" and it's fine, although I think that "Creme" would be a better match. I think this foundation is awesome for people with combination to oily skin because it lasts for hours without getting shiny and the finish is quite matte but still very natural.

Since Kiko offered a 30% off on all the products, I decided to stock up on their Double Touch Lipstick (€ 6,90), a combination of a very intense lipstick and a luminous lipgloss that fixes the color allowing it to resist for literally hours without fading away. I bought the shade 112, a cherry red, 113, a dark red, 114, a light plum, and 115, a light fucsia. My favorite shades are 113 and 114, because I'm more into dark colors at the moment, but all the shades are gorgeous, very intense and pigmented and they last forever on the lips! 

After I bought the Mac lipstick in the shade Brave (see my review here), I decided to buy the Mac lip liner in the shade Soar, to pair with the lipstick. However, Melanie Murphy, one of my favorite YouTuber (here is her channel), in one of her video says that she uses Essence Satin Mauve lip liner (€ 1,29), which is the same color of the Mac one, but it's a lot cheaper and more moisturizing. I decided to give it a go and I have to say that I'm really impressed! I can't compare it with the Mac one because I've never bought a Mac lip liner, however I can say that the shade looks perfect in combination with my Brave lipstick, it lasts long without drying out my lips and it's very easy to apply. Love it!

My most recent discover is the Lancome Grandiose mascara (€ 31,50). If you follow my blog, you know that I'm a huge fan of volumizing mascaras, like Dior Extase and Le Volume de Chanel. When I heard that this mascara by Lancome was able to give a false lashes effect, I couldn't resist, I had to try it! The "Swan Neck" design is very unique and it provides access to all the lashes. In fact, the curve of the wand works with the shape of the face for an easier application. The formula is ultra black, very long lasting and it makes my lashes bigger and longer without the clumpy effect that some volumizing mascaras give. What could I ask for more?

Per il post sui miei prodotti di bellezza preferiti di Dicembre ho deciso di selezionare un numero ristretto di prodotti, poiché ho intenzione di scrivere a breve un post riassuntivo dei miei prodotti preferiti di tutto il 2014, per cui non ho voluto rischiare di essere ripetitiva e parlare sempre degli stessi prodotti!

Voglio iniziare con una nuova base che ho recentemente scoperto, ossia il nuovo fondotinta Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide di Laura Mercier (€ 48,00). Si tratta di un fondotinta dalla consistenza molto liquida, che, quindi, necessita di essere ben agitato prima dell'applicazione, e, nonostante sia estremamente leggero sulla pelle e doni un aspetto molto naturale, è in grado di offrire una buona media coprenza e un finish levigato. Dura a lungo senza lucidarsi ed è disponibile in una vasta selezione di tonalità. Io possiedo la tonalità Shell, che non è male, tuttavia credo che Creme sarebbe il match perfetto. Trovo che questo fondotinta sia ideale per chi abbia una pelle mista o grassa, grazie alla sua capacità di durare a lungo senza lucidarsi ed al suo finish opaco ma molto naturale.

Approfittando di una promozione di Kiko, che offriva uno sconto del 30% su tutti i prodotti, ho fatto scorta di Double Touch Lipstick (€ 6,90); si tratta di rossetto e gloss in un unico prodotto: ad un'estremità trovate il rossetto, molto intenso ma facilmente sfumabile, e dall'altroa vi è il gloss trasparente, che fissa il colore rendendolo luminoso e garantendo una lunghissima durata sulle labbra. I colori che ho scelto sono il 112, un rosso ciliegia, 113, un rosso scuro, 114, un color prugna chiaro, e 115, un fucsia chiaro. Le mie tonalità preferite sono la 113 e la 114, perché amo molto i toni scuri sulle labbra, ma devo ammettere che tutti i colori disponibili sono bellissimi, molto intensi e pigmentati, e durano davvero tantissimo sulle labbra!

Subito dopo aver acquistato il rossetto di Mac nella tonalità Brave (qui trovate la mia recensione), ho deciso di acquistare anche la matita labbra di Mac nella tonalità Soar, da usare in abbinamento al rossetto. Tuttavia, Melanie Murphy, una delle mie YouTubers preferite (qui trovate il suo canale YouTube), in uno dei suoi video ha detto di preferire la matita labbra di Essence nella tonalità Satin Mauve (€ 1,29) a Soar di Mac: non solo è molto meno costosa e la tonalità è praticamente identica, ma risulta anche più idratante sulle labbra della matita di Mac. Ho subito deciso di provarla e devo dire che sono rimasta piacevolmente stupita. Non posso fare un paragone con Mac perché non ho mai provato le loro matite labbra, però posso dire che il colore si sposa perfettamente con il mio rossetto, non secca le labbra, dura a lungo e si sfuma facilmente. La adoro!

Per finire, la mia scoperta più recente è il mascara Grandiose di Lancome (€ 31,50). Se seguite il mio blog, saprete che sono una grande fan dei mascara volumizzanti, come il Dior Extase e Le Volume de Chanel. Per cui, quando ho sentito dire che il nuovo mascara di Lancome offriva un effetto "ciglia finte" non ho saputo resistere ed ho deciso di acquistarlo. L'innovativo design a "collo di cigno" consente allo scovolino di raggiungere tutte le ciglia, anche quelle più vicine all'interno dell'occhio. Infatti, la curva dello stelo è pensata appositamente per seguire la forma del viso, così da rendere l'applicazione più facile. La sua formulazione a lunga durata e ultra nera dona alle ciglia volume e lunghezza, senza, tuttavia, quel fastidioso effetto grumoso che molti mascara volumizzanti causano. Cos'altro potrei chiedere ad un mascara?

The pink lips edition

After my post about nude lipsticks (here), I've decided to write a post about pink/fucsia ones. I own quite a few of them, probably because pink, in all its shades, is the kind of color that looks good for every look in every season.

Having a fair skin tone, light pastel baby pink lipsticks usually don't look good on me, so I tend to choose bolder shades. That is why the lighter lipsticks I own, in pink shades, are not properly light. The first one is the Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00) in the color n. 479 "Magique", a beautiful coral pink shade with a warm undertone (see full review here). It looks like a gloss, but the finish is quite velvety and the color payoff is amazing. The other one is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) in the shade n. 42 "L'éclatante", a gorgeous bright pink with a matte finish and a creamy velvety texture. It doesn't dry out the lips, like most matte finish lipsticks do, and it has a very good lasting power.

Moving to a true fucsia shade, suitable for the day time, I have a couple of options. The first one is the Clinique Chubby Stick (€ 17,50) in the shade n. 15 "Pudgy Peony", a moisturizing tinted lip balm with a creamy consistency and a sheer but buildable color intensity. The shade is a nice fucsia with a blu undertone. The Dior Addict Lipstick (€ 30,90) in the shade n. 778 " Show" has a warmer undertone and a quite more luminous finish, but, like the Clinique Stick, it has a quite sheer, although buildable, color payoff. 

For a night time or special occasions look, my favorite lipstick is the Shiseido Perfect Rouge (€ 25,95) in the shade RS 320, which is the most amazing fucsia shade I've ever seen. It has an intense blu undertone, so it's more like a magenta color with a touch of pink. The formula is amazing as well: it has a creamy texture that makes it extremely comfortable on the lips, the finish is more on the matte side and the color payoff and the lasting power are great. Another great option is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) in the shade n. 37 "L'Exuberante", a bright fucsia shade with a touch of red and the perfect dose of cold and warm undertone, so that it would suit any skin tone. I love the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks, their formulation is brilliant, the velvety finish is gorgeous and the color payoff is great.

Dopo il mio post a proposito dei rossetti color nude (qui), ho deciso di scriverne uno in merito ai rossetti rosa/fucsia, poiché trovo che questo colore, declinato in tutte le sue tonalità, si addica bene a qualunque look in qualunque periodo dell'anno.

Avendo una carnagione pallida, tendenzialmente i rossetti rosa pastello molto chiaro non mi donano particolarmente, motivo per cui tendo sempre a scegliere colori un po' più decisi, che ravvivino il mio incarnato. Ecco perché i due rossetti rosa più chiari che possiedo non sono propriamente "chiari". Il primo è il Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00) nella tonalità n. 479 "Magique", un bellissimo rosa corallo con sottotono caldo (trovate la review completa qui). Sembra un gloss, ma il finish è piuttosto vellutato e l'intensità del colore è ottima. L'altro rossetto è il Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) nella tonalità n. 42 "L'éclatante", un meraviglioso rosa acceso con un finish matte ed una consistenza cremosa e vellutata. A differenza della maggior parte dei rossetti con finish opaco, questo non secca le labbra e dura molto a lungo. 

Passando ad una tonalità di fucsia utilizzabile durante il giorno, ho un paio di opzioni. La prima è il Clinique Chubby Stick (€ 17,90) nel colore n. 15 "Pudgy Peony", un balsamo labbra idratante e colorato, con una consistenza cremosa ed un'intensità leggera ma modulabile. Il colore è un bel fucsia con sottotono blu. Il Dior Addict Lipstick (€ 30,90) nella tonalità n. 778 "Show", invece, ha un sottotono più caldo ed un finish leggermente più luminoso, ma, come il Chubby Stick, ha un'ntensitò di colore abbastanza leggera, sebbene modulabile. 

Per un look da sera o da occasioni speciali, il mio rossetto preferito è il Shiseido Perfect Rouge (€ 25,95) nel colore RS 320, la più bella e particolare tonalità di fucsia che abbia mai visto. Ha un intenso sottotono blu, che lo rende più simile al magenta che non al fucsia. Anche la formulazione è ottima: la sua texture cremosa lo rende estremamente confortevole sulle labbra, il finish è leggermente matte e la sua intensità di colore, così come la sua tenuta, è notevole. Un'altra ottima scelta è il Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 29,50) nel colore n. 37 "L'Exuberante", un'accesa tonalità di fucsia con un tocco di rosso ed il perfetto equilibrio tra sottotono caldo e sottotono freddo, che lo rende adatto a qualsiasi carnagione. Adoro i rossetti di Chanel di questa linea, hanno una formulazione davvero brillante, il loro finish vellutato è meraviglioso ed il payoff di colore eccezionale.

What do a nail polish remover and a lipgloss have in common? I can hear you say "nothing" and, yes, usually you would have been right, but the nail polish remover and the lipgloss I'm going to talk about do have one thing...well, actually two things in common: first of all, they both are a sort of two products in one and second they are brilliant and innovative products (according to me, of course!).
Now, please, let me explain.

The nail polish remover I'm talking about is the Essence Quick & Easy Sponge (€  3,79). I'm sure you all have heard about this kind of nail polish remover, it's basically a little bottle with a sponge inside, soaked with solvent. You put your finger in it and the trick is done: your nail polish comes off. I was very skeptical at first, I though: I have my cotton pad, I have my nail polish remover, why the hell should I need this stuff? I was so wrong! This little bottle has changed my life...ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but, you know what I mean, right? Removing my nail polish have never been so easy and quick, I just sit in front of my pc, watching some new episodes of Pretty Little Liars and, in the meantime, I put my fingers, one after the other, in the bottle. No hundreds of cotton pads required, no need to care about my bottle of solvent, which I always spill. It's so good it doesn't seem true! And it's also great for traveling!

The lip gloss I want to talk about, instead, is not actually a real lip gloss, but is not a lipstick either: it's the new Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00). It's a bit expensive, but the formula is very innovative, I think it's worth the money. I would describe it like a lipstick and lipgloss all in one. It has the pigmentation and the lasting power of a lipstick, with the shine of a gloss. Imagine having a lipstick with a transparent gloss over it, but without the sticky feeling of a lipgloss. In fact, as you apply it, it seems to turn into a sort of velvety consistency that feels like nothing on your lips. I usually don't like the feeling of lip glosses, that is way I never wear them; this one, however, is like nothing I've ever tried before, so now I can finally get a beautiful shiny finish and an amazing color payoff all in once! And you have no idea of how long it lasts on the lips! This is definitely a winner to me!

Cosa hanno in comune un solvente per smalto ed un lucida labbra? Posso sentirvi mentre dite "niente!" e, sì, normalmente vi darei ragione, tuttavia il rimuovi smalto ed il lucida labbra di cui vi voglio parlare hanno, in realtà, una cosa in comune...anzi, due: prima di tutto, in entrambi i casi si tratta di due prodotti in uno, in secondo luogo sono entrambi prodotti brillanti ed innovativi (secondo il mio modesto parere, ovvio!).
Ora, vi prego, lasciate che mi spieghi.

Il rimuovi smalto a cui mi riferisco è il Quick & Easy Sponge di Essence (€ 3,79). Sono certa che tutti voi conosciate ormai questi prodotti, si tratta, in sostanza, di bottigliette contenenti una spugna imbevuta di solvente per smalto. Si infilano le dita nella piccola fessura al centro ed il gioco è fatto: nessuna traccia di smalto sull'unghia. All'inizio ero molto scettica, voglio dire, avevo i miei batuffoli di cotone, avevo il mio acetone, per quale motivo avrei dovuto acquistare un loro sostituto? Quanto mi sbagliavo!!! Questa piccola bottiglia ha cambiato la mia vita...ok, forse sono un po' troppo melodrammatica, ma sapete cosa voglio dire, no? Rimuovere lo smalto non è mai stato così semplice e veloce: mi siedo di fronte al mio pc, guardando gli ultimi episodi di Pretty Little Liars e, nel frattempo, infilo le mie dita, una dopo l'altra, nella spugnetta magica. Niente più centinaia di batuffoli di cotone sporchi di smalto, niente più bottigliette di acetone accidentalmente rovesciate. E' talmente bello da non sembrare vero! Ed è anche comodissimo quando si viaggia!

Il lucida labbra di cui vi sto per parlare non è, in realtà, un vero lucida labbra; tuttavia, non mi sento di definirlo nemmeno un rossetto. Si tratta del nuovo Dior Addict Fluid Stick (€ 31,00). So che è un prodotto un po' caro, ma credo che la sua formula innovativa valga l'acquisto. Lo descriverei come un rossetto ed un gloss in un unico prodotto: ha la pigmentazione e la durata di un rossetto, ma il finish luminoso che regala è tipico di un gloss. E' essenzialmente come indossare un rossetto con uno strato di lucida labbra trasparente, senza, tuttavia, l'odiosa sensazione appiccicosa tipica dei lucida labbra. Ed, in fatti, la cosa che più mi ha stupito è stata la sua consistenza vellutata sulle labbra, che lo rende estremamente leggero, come se non lo stessi indossando affatto. Normalmente non amo la consistenza dei gloss, motivo per cui tendo ad evitarli; questo prodotto, però, è diverso da qualunque cosa abbia provato e mi consente di ottenere un bellissimo effetto luminoso ed una straordinaria intensità di colore in un'unica passata. E non avete idea di quanto duri sulle labbra! Non potrei chiedere di più ad un rossetto!

July favorites

It's the end of July and that means that holidays are close, which makes me very happy. As you know, it's also time to show you the products I've loved the most during this month.

The first one is a skincare product that I have bought a while ago but I've started to use it regularly only recently. It's the Ren Clarimatte Invisible Pores Detox Mask (€ 29,50), a clay mask that is supposed to reduce the appearance of pores and purify the skin. It's not a miracle worker, but if you give it time, you can definitely see some improvements in your skin. What I like the most about it it's the fact that, while the majority of purifying masks can be a little harsh, this one is very gentle and doesn't dry out my skin, which is good, considering that my skin has been super sensitive lately.

If you don't know yet, I'm obsessed with lip balms. My lips tend to get very dry and I always have to relay on some good lips moisturizing product in order to keep them soft and hydrated. Lately I've been in love with The Body Shop Aloe Lip Care (€ 9,00), it keeps my lips smooth and moisturized for long, every time I apply it before I go to bed, the morning after it's still on  my lips! And I also really like it's luminous finish!

This month my love for the Lush Daddy-O shampoo (€ 7,50) (I've talked about it in this post) has grown out of all proportions. I am obsessed with it. Not only I love the violet smell it has, but I really like how soft and clean it lives my hair. It also does a great job in keeping my blond hair from becoming dull or too yellowish. 

As far as make up, this month I've rediscovered my Benefit Rockateur blush (€ 33,50). I've bought it before Christmas and, even if I liked it, I didn't use it that much during winter time. Now, however, I've started using it again and I love it. I think it's perfect for summertime, it's a rose gold with a nice worm undertone and a slightly shimmering finish. Once applied on the skin, it turns into a sort of bronzy pink color, which emphasizes very well the sun kissed summer glow of the skin.

Another make up product I've been appreciating a lot is the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow from Kiko (€ 6,90) in the shade 07, a beautiful shimmering champaign color. Like its name suggests, it's very long lasting and it's also no transfer. Sometimes I use it on its own on my eyelids and sometimes I apply it above other eyeshadows, in order to brighten them. You can also use it on the inner corner of your eyes as an highlighter. And it's super easy to apply! Lovely!

Siamo alla fine di Luglio, il che significa che le vacanze estive si avvicinano, cosa che mi rende ovviamente molto felice. Significa anche che è giunto il momento dell'appuntamento con i miei prodotti preferiti del mese.

Il primo è un prodotto di cura della pelle che ho acquistato un po' di tempo fa, ma che ho iniziato ad utilizzare con regolarità solo recentemente. Si tratta della maschera purificante delle linea Clarimatte di Ren (€ 29,50), una maschera a base d'argilla che ha lo scopo di ridurre l'aspetto dei pori e purificare la pelle dalle impurità. Non è un prodotto miracoloso, ma se gli si concede del tempo, i miglioramenti della pelle sono sicuramente visibili. Inoltre, apprezzo molto il fatto che, a differenza della maggior parte delle maschere purificanti, che tendono ad essere un po' aggressive, questa è estremamente delicata, cosa molto positiva, considerando il fatto che la mia  pelle, in quest'ultimo mese, è diventata diventata particolarmente sensibile.

Qualora ancora non lo sapeste, ho un'ossessione per i balsami labbra. Le mie labbra tendono a seccarsi molto, motivo per cui ho sempre bisogno di affidarmi ad un buon balsamo idratante. Ultimamente sto adorando il trattamento labbra all'aloe di The Body Shop (€ 9,00), mantiene le mie labbra morbide ed idratate a lungo e quando lo applico la sera prima di coricarmi, la mattina seguente le labbra sono ancora morbidissime come se l'avessi appena applicato. Inoltre, mi piace moltissimo il suo finish luminoso!

Durante questo ultimo mese il mio amore per lo shampoo Dorian Gray di Lush (€ 7,90) (ne ho parlato in questo post) è cresciuto a dismisura. Ne sono letteralmente ossessionata. Non solo adoro il suo profumo di violetta, ma trovo che lasci i miei capelli incredibilmente morbidi e puliti, oltre al fatto che fa davvero un buon lavoro nel preservare il biondo, impedendo che si ingiallisca i diventi spento. 

Per quanto riguarda il make up, questo mese ho avuto modo di riscoprire il blush Rockateur di Benefit (€ 33,50). L'ho acquistato prima di Natale, ma, sebbene mi piacesse molto, non l'ho utilizzato spesso durante l'interno. Ora, invece, non posso farne a meno. Trovo che sia il colore perfetto per l'estate, un rosa dorato con sottotono caldo ed un finish leggermente brillante. Una volta applicato, vira verso un bronzo rosato che enfatizza benissimo il colore naturale della pelle abbronzata.

Un altro cosmetico che sto apprezzando molto è il Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow di Kiko (€ 6,90) nella tonalità 07, un bellissimo color champagne luminoso. Come il nome suggerisce, si tratta di un ombretto in stick a lunga durata e no transfer. A volte lo applico da solo sulla palpebra, altre volte, invece, mi piace stenderlo sopra altri ombretti per renderli più luminosi. Inoltre, può anche essere utilizzato come illuminante nell'angolo interno degli occhi. Per non parlare della facilità con cui si applica. Fantastico!

The nude lips edition

I've always thought that nude lips are very elegant and sophisticated, especially for an everyday look. Of course, sometimes, I really enjoy wearing a red lipstick, but neutral colors are my favorites. 

The kind of nude I usually prefer is the pink toned one. One of my all time favorite natural pink lipsticks is the Clarins Joli Rouge (€ 20,90) in the shade n. 707 "Petal pink". It's very hydrating, almost like a lip balm, and it lasts a lot on my lips. The shade is a beautiful delicate pink, not too light, not too dark, just perfect. When I want something matte, instead, I choose the Rock Idol lipstick from Kiko (€ 6,90) in the shade n. 02. It's almost the same shade of the Clarins one, but this one from Kiko is matte. I like it because is very similar to my natural lips shade and, since it comes in a pen shape, it's very easy to apply. 

Another lip pencil I really love is the Glossy lip pencil form Sephora (€ 11,00), in the shade  n. 05 "Pale Pink". Like the name suggests, it has a nice glossy finish, with a creamy texture that feels very hydrating on the lips. Even if the shade is called "pale pink", the pink undertone is not as evident as the Clarins and the Kiko lipsticks, at least not on my lips. I think it's more on the neutral side, which makes it the perfect product for an easy everyday look.

My all time favorite nude lipstick is the Rouge Dior Nude (€ 31,50) lipstick in the shade n. 459 "Charnelle". I find it hard to find a peachy pink that suits my pale complexion, but this one is beautiful. It's a sheer lipstick with a nice creamy texture. Every time I apply it, it immediately warms up my face. 

Probably the most sheer and luminous nude lipstick I own is the Kiko Crystal Sheer lipstick (€ 6,90) in the shade 407. The color is a sort of pink coral shade with a nice wet finish. This lipstick is very light, not too pigmented, but very luminous. It feels extremely comfortable on the lips, it does't dry them out like some Kiko's lipsticks do. I think it's the perfect summertime lipstick.

The only nude lipstick with a truly brown undertone I have is the Clinique Chubby Lipstick (€ 17,50) in the shade "Whole Lotta Honey", a moisturizing lip balm with a beautiful natural brown shade that really suites my skin tone.

Ho sempre pensato che le labbra color nudo fossero estremamente eleganti e sofisticate, soprattutto per un look da tutti i giorni. Certo, a volte un rossetto rosso dona al look una marcia in più, ma i colori neutri rimangono i miei preferiti.

Il tipo di nudo che amo maggiormente è quello con sottotono rosato. Uno dei miei rossetti preferiti, da questo punto di vista, è il Joli Rouge di Clarins (€ 20,90) nella tonalità n. 707 "Petal pink". E' un rossetto molto idratante, simile ad un balsamo labbra, ma più persistente. Il colore è un bellissimo rosa delicato, né troppo chiaro, né troppo scuro. Semplicemente perfetto. Quando invece, voglio qualcosa di più opaco,  scelgo il Rock Idol lipstick di Kiko (€ 6,90) nel colore n. 02. La tonalità è molto simile a quella del rossetto di Clarins, tuttavia questo di Kiko ha un finish matte. Mi piace molto il fatto che assomigli al colore naturale delle mie labbra; inoltre, grazie alla sua forma a matita, è davvero semplice da applicare. 

Un altro matitone per le labbra che trovo assolutamente meraviglioso è il Glossy lip pencil di Sephora (€ 11,00) nel colore n. 05 "Petal pink". Come il nome suggerisce, ha il finish di un gloss, con una texture cremosa che lascia le labbra morbide ed idratate. Nonostante la tonalità indichi una colorazione rosata, trovo che sulle mie labbra il sottotono rosa non sia così evidente come nel caso dei rossetti di Calrins e Kiko. Tuttavia, questo suo tendere ad una colorazione più neutra, lo rende il rossetto perfetto per un look semplice, per tutti i giorni.

Il mio rossetto color nudo preferito è senza dubbio il Rouge Dior Nude (€ 31,50) nella colorazione n. 459 "Charnelle". E' davvero difficile trovare un rossetto nudo con un sottotono pesca rosato che bene si sposi con la mia carnagione chiara, ma questo è perfetto. Amo molto la sua consistenza cremosa e leggera ed è straordinaria la sua capacità di riscaldare il viso non appena applicato.

Il rossetto nude probabilmente più leggero e luminoso che possiedo è il Kiko Crystal Sheer (€ 6,90) nella tonalità 407, un bellissimo corallo rosato con un finish quasi bagnato. E' molto leggero e non troppo pigmentato, ma ha un effetto estremamente luminoso. La sua consistenza risulta davvero confortevole, non secca le labbra come alcuni rossetti di Kiko, invece, fanno. Trovo che sia il rossetto perfetto per l'estate!

L'unico rossetto nude con un vero e proprio sottotono marrone che possiedo è il Chubby Lipstick di Clinique (€ 17,50) nel colore "Whole Lotta Honey". Si tratta di un balsamo labbra idratante e colorato con una bellissima tonalità di marrone molto naturale, che si sposa benissimo con la mia carnagione.

June favorites

I can't believe June is already ending, time goes by so fast! So, here we are with my monthly favorite products. Let's start!

The first product is the Clarins Liquid bronze Self Tanning (€ 23,90). I'm not a fan of self-tanning products, they usually smell weird and they tend to leave the skin with an unpleasant orange color that is not cool at all. However, my skin is very fair and I don't like spending a lot of time in the sun, so I thought I needed some extra help to achieve a more healthy complexion. This self-tanning by Clarins is very good: it doesn't have any strange smell and it gives the skin a nice light tan, perfect for paler skins. It's meant to be used on face and décolleté, but I use it all over my body (except for my face, because my skin is freaking out in this period and I don't want to add new products, as I don't know how it might react!) and the result is very nice.

I've talked about the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (€ 45,50) in my latest "Currently loving" post here, so you already know I love this magic liquid. I use it every morning and evening and I can see a big improvement in my overall complexion: my skin is luminous and brighter and some discolorations I had are slowly fading away. 

This product already featured in my April favorites and I'm still in love with it: it's the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation (€ 39,50). It's the perfect foundation for summer, it's very lightweight, so you won't feel it on your skin, but it can also achieve a nice medium coverage if you need to conceal some imperfections. It has a beautiful velvety finish, not too matte not too glowing, and it has a good staying power. If you want to read my full review, you can find it here. 

In this season, if you want your make up to last you need to prime. I personally don't use a primer on a daily base, I prefer to touch up my make up with a powder if I need to, but in some special occasions I like to reach for The Body Shop Instablur all-in-one (€ 15,00). I like this primer because is very light weight and it absorbs quickly, making the skin instantly flawless and smoother. It not only extends the life of my make up, but it hides any imperfection on the skin. 

My favorite lip product of June has to be the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in the shade Lodhi (€ 25,50), a vibrant coral shade with a creamy finish. It doesn't dry out my lips and it lasts pretty good. I like the shade, it's not too orange nor too pink and the intensity of the color can be easily modulated. Moreover, thank to the fact that it comes as a pencil, it's very easy and quick to apply.

Non posso credere che Giugno stia già giungendo al termine, il tempo vola! Eccoci, quindi, ad un altro appuntamento con i miei prodotti preferiti del mese. Iniziamo.

Il primo prodotto è il Latte autoabbronzante di Clarins (€ 23,90). Non sono un'amante degli autoabbronzanti, trovo che, di solito, abbiano un odore strano e tendano a donare alla pelle una colorazione che vira in modo imbarazzante verso l'arancione...terribile! Tuttavia, la mia pelle è davvero molto chiara, quindi, non amando passare molto tempo stesa al sole, ho pensato che fosse necessario un aiutino extra per ottenere un colorito un po' più sano. Questo abbronzante di Clarins fa proprio al caso mio: non ha alcun odore particolare e, soprattutto, regala alla pelle una leggera abbronzatura dorata, ideale per le pelli più chiare. E' un prodotto che dovrebbe essere utilizzato su viso e décolleté, ma io lo applico su tutto il corpo (ad eccezione del viso, perché la mia pelle in questo periodo sembra impazzita, per cui non voglio che entri in contatto con prodotti ai quali non so come possa reagire!) e il risultato è molto bello.

Ho parlato del Siero Illuminante Anti-macchie della linea Vinoperfect di Caudalie (€ 45,50) nel mio ultimo "Currently loving" post qui, per cui sapete quanto io ami questo liquido magico. Lo utilizzo due volte al giorno, mattino e sera, tutti i giorni e posso notare come l'aspetto complessivo della mia carnagione stia migliorando progressivamente: la pelle è più luminosa e radiosa ed alunne macchioline rosse, residui di recenti infiammazioni, stanno lentamente scomparendo.

Questo prodotto ha già fatto la sua comparsa tra i miei preferiti di Aprile ed è tutt'ora tra i prodotti che amo di più: si tratta del fondotinta Perfection Lumiere Velvet di Chanel (€ 39,50). E' perfetto per l'estate, è talmente leggero sulla pelle che non sembra quasi di averlo, ma, allo stesso tempo, riesce a raggiungere una buona media coprenza qualora si renda necessario coprire qualche imperfezione. Dona alla pelle un bellissimo effetto vellutato, non troppo opaco né troppo luminoso, e la sua durata è molto buona. Se volete leggere la mia recensione completa, la trovare qui. 

In questa stagione, se volete che il vostro trucco duri a lungo, dovete affidarvi ad un buon primer. Personalmente non è uno step che tendo a fare su base giornaliera, preferisco, piuttosto, ritoccare il make up con la cipria, se necessario, tuttavia, in alcune occasioni speciali, mi piace affidarmi a Instablur All-in-one di The Body Shop (€ 15,00). Questo primer mi piace molto perché non è pesante e si assorbe velocemente, facendo immediatamente apparire la pelle liscia e levigata. Non solo prolunga la durata del make up, ma aiuta a nascondere ogni imperfezione.

Il mio prodotto per le labbra preferito di Giugno non poteva che essere la matita labbra Satin di Nars (€ 25,50) nella tonalità Lodhi, un meraviglioso corallo acceso con una consistenza cremosa. Non secca le labbra ed ha una durata molto buona. Adoro questo colore, non è né troppo aranciato né troppo rosato, e la sua intensità può facilmente essere modulata in base all'occasione. Inoltre, avendo la forma di una penna, è molto facile e veloce da applicare.

Inspiration #1: Dark lips

Dark lipstick, yes or no? It’s the trend of this season, we’ve seen models wearing it on the catwalks and actresses showing it on the red carpet, but it’s not the easiest trend to follow. I personally love a nice dark lipstick, but it must be worn carefully. First of all, there are a lot of different shades and choosing the right one is not that simple. I think that girls with light/fair complexion should go for a dark red or dark brown shade. Dark lipsticks with a violet undertone, instead, look amazing on medium to dark skintones.

Rossetto scuro, sì o no? Sembra essere il trend del momento, lo abbiamo visto sfoggiare dalle modelle sulle passerelle e dalle attrici sul tappeto rosso, ma di certo non è facile da portare. Personalmente trovo che sia un look molto interessante, purché si segua qualche accorgimento. Innanzitutto esistono diverse tonalità scure e scegliere quella che meglio si adatti alla nostra carnagione non sempre è facile. In linea di massima, trovo che le carnagioni più chiare stiano meglio con un rossetto rosso scuro o marrone scuro. Invece, rossetti che virano verso tonalità di viola sono più adatti a carnagioni più scure.

Another important thing you need to remember when you wear this kind of lipstick is that the rest of your make up should be very simple and natural, otherwise you will look like a witch, and you don’t want that! (unless it’s Halloween, in that case go ahead with dark eyeshadows and tons of blush!). You should concentrate on making your skin looking flawless, without being cakey and keeping your eyes make up very simple: a touch of mascara is enough, but if you want a more dramatic look you can use a black eyeliner. If you want to add a bit of blush, you should choose a natural color or a tiny bit of bronzer. Yes to highlighters but, again, try to keep it natural.

Un altro importante accorgimento da seguire consiste nel mantenere il resto del makeup molto naturale, per evitare di cadere nell’effetto “maschera di Halloween”. E’ importante che la pelle abbia un aspetto naturale e privo di imperfezioni; per quanto riguarda gli occhi, un tocco di mascara è sufficiente, ma se vi piace un risultato più drammatico potete aggiungere un eyeliner nero. Se, poi, proprio non potete fare a meno del blush, scegliete un colore molto naturale o un po’ di terra abbronzante. Sì agli illuminanti, ma cercando sempre di mantenere l’effetto molto naturale.

My favourite dark lipstick is the Chanel Rouge Alloure in Rouge Noir (n° 109). It’s a dark red lipstick with a touch of black in it that really suits light skintone like mine.

Il rossetto scuro che preferisco è il Chanel Rouge Alloure nella tonalità Rouge Noir (n° 109). E’ un bella tonalità di rosso scuro con una punta di nero che si adatta molto bene alle carnagioni chiare come la mia.
