Here's another round up of the products that I've recently used up.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Serum (€ 35,70): I love this serum and I've already bought another bottle of it. It's lightweight and hydrating at the same time and it contains antioxidants which are very good for the skin.

Caudalie Eau de Beaute (from € 11,00): nice product, not life-changing (not for me, at least) but definitely something that's worth trying. It's a mist of essential oils that freshen up your face, hydrates the skin and alleviates inflammations and irritations. I like to keep the small size of this bottle in my bag, especially in summer time or when I travel.

Le Volume De Chanel mascara (€ 30,10): I love this mascara, it gives volume to my lashes without looking clumping. However, I haven't repurchased it because I wanted to try the Lancome Grandiose mascara (which I'm liking a lot).

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream (€ 10,00): although I love the smell of this hand cream, it's not moisturizing enough for me, especially in winter. Maybe it would be a nice hand cream for summertime.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): I love this eye cream, is very thick and hydrating, but it absorbs quickly and leaves the skin smooth and soft. However, I decided not to repurchase it (for now) and to try, instead, another Kiehl's eye cream which has a stronger anti aging power (see my review here).

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): I've talked a lot about this cleanser in this blog, so you probably already know this is my all time favorite cleanser. It removes my make up without any effort, it's gentle and it leaves my skin super soft. I've already bought another bottle of it!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00): this is a nice lightweight moisturizer aimed to combination to oily skins, however right now my skin needs something a bit more hydrating, so I'm not going to buy it again for now. 

Roc Retin-Ox Correxion Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (€ 23,60): I hate this eye cream. I can't tell if it is actually able to fight wrinkles, all I know is that I doesn't give any kind of moisture to my under eye area, so that any fine line looks even more noticeable. I won't buy it again!

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Power (€ 28,90): I don't think this it a bad powder, it's lightweight, it's not visible on the skin and has a decent staying power. However I like the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder a lot more, so I won't buy this one again.

L'Oreal Professionnel Lumino Contrast Thermo Protective Xylose (€ 14,95): this thermo-protective spry makes my hair shiny and soft and it has an amazing smell. However, at the moment I'm using the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer and I'm very happy with it, so I'm not going to buy this L'Oreal spry again for now.

Ecco un'altra carrellata dei prodotti che ho recentemente finito di usare.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Siero Anti-Rughe (€ 35,70): mi piace moltissimo questo siero, è leggero e idratante alle stesso tempo ed è ricco di antiossidanti, che sono una manna dal cielo per la nostra pelle. 

Caudalie Acqua di Bellezza (a partire da € 11,00): buon prodotto, non miracoloso (non per me, almeno), ma vale sicuramente la pena provarlo. Si tratta di un'acqua spray, ricca di oli essenziali, che rinfresca il viso, idrata la pelle e aiuta a lenire infiammazioni e rossori. Trovo che la versione in bottiglia piccola sia l'ideale da tenere in borsa, soprattutto d'estate o durante un viaggio, per rinfrescare il viso in qualunque momento. 

Mascara Le Volume de Chanel (€ 30,10): ottimo mascara, volumizza le ciglia senza risultare grumoso. Tuttavia, per il momento non lo riacquisterò perché sto provando il mascara Grandiose di Lancome, che, peraltro, mi sta piacendo molto. 

The Body Shop Crema Mani e Unghie alla Mandorla (€ 10,00): sebbene ne adori il profumo, questa crema mani non risulta sufficientemente idratante per me, soprattutto durante la stagione invernale. Probabilmente potrebbe essere una valida soluzione per l'estate, ma per il momento non la ricomprerò.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): adoro questa crema per il contorno occhi, è molto ricca ed idratante, ma si assorbe rapidamente e lascia le pelle morbida e distesa. Tuttavia, ho deciso di non riacquistarla, almeno per il momento, e di provare, invece, un'altra crema occhi di Kiehl's con proprietà anti-aging un po' più forti (qui trovate la mia recensione).

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): ho già parlato molte volte di questo olio detergente alla camomilla, per cui ormai probabilmente saprete che è senza dubbio il mio struccante preferito di sempre. Rimuove senza difficoltà qualunque traccia di trucco, è delicato e lascia la mia pelle morbidissima. Ovviamente, l'ho già riacquistato.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00): questa crema idratante leggera e oil-free rappresenta sicuramente un valido prodotto per chi ha un pelle mista tendente al grasso. Tuttavia, poiché in questo periodo necessito di un maggior grado di idratazione, ho dovuto accantonarla per orientarmi verso una crema un po' più ricca. 

Roc Retin-Ox Correxion Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (€ 23,60): ho odiato questa crema per il contorno occhi. Non sono in grado di dirvi se sia o meno efficace nel combattere le rughe, tutto quello che so è che non ha alcun effetto idratante per il mio contorno occhi, tanto da rendere ogni minima ruga d'espressione ancora più visibile. Non ho alcuna intenzione di riacquistarla!

Too Faced cipria Primed & Poreless (€ 28,90): tutto sommato credo che questa cipria faccia un buon lavoro, non è pesante, è invisibile sulla pelle e ha una discreta capacità di fissare il trucco. Tuttavia, preferisco di gran lunga la cipria Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals, per cui non credo la riacquisterò. 

L'Oreal Professionnel Lumino Contrast Spray Lucidante Termo Protettivo (€ 14,95): questo spray protegge i capelli dal calore di phon e piastra e li rende morbidi e luminosi. Al momento, però, sto utilizzando il Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer e ne sono molto soddisfatta, per cui, per ora, non lo riacquisterò.

January favorites

Here we are with the first appointment of 2015 with my monthly beauty favorites. I can't believe January is already ending, I've been waiting so long for Christmas holidays and now they seems so far away. Let's just hope Spring will come soon!

The first product I've been loving this month is an hair care product and, in particular, a conditioner for blonde hair. I've already mention, in a couple of my previous posts, that I have started using the John Frieda Sheer Blond Go Blonder line and I'm very happy with it. However, when I run out of the conditioner form that line and I went to buy it again, it was out of stock, so I decided to replace ti with the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Moisturizing Conditioner (€ 11,95). I have to say that I like this one better than the Go Blonder and I will probably buy the Shampoo from the same line once I finish the one I'm using now. It deeply hydrates my hair and a little bit goes a long way. My hair feels incredibly soft and luminous and my color looks much more alive.

Although I've been loving a lot my Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, when I run out of it I went to the Kiehl's shop and asked for something a bit more powerful in terms of anti aging properties and the lady suggested me to try the Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream (€ 37,50). The consistency of this eye cream, even if still quite rich, is less thick that the one with avocado. The result, however, is equally hydrating and smoothing. Moreover, this eye cream has a slightly lifting effect that makes a big improvement in the way my make up looks. I've been using it only for a couple of weeks, so I don't know if it's really able to reduce fine lines, however I've been liking it a lot so far.

Because of the cold weather, lately I've had the feeling that my skin wasn't receiving moisture enough, so I decided to buy an hydrating toner to use in the evening, after my cleanser. My choice came down to the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner form The Body Shop (€ 9,00), mainly because I've heard a lot of great things about the Vitamin E range from TBS and I wanted to try something from this line. I will go straight to the point and say it was love at first application. It feels so refreshing and hydrating and it makes my skin soft and supple, without being heavy or oily. Moreover, it contains antioxidants, which are very important in order to protect our skin from external agents. 

My last favorite is not new, on the contrary, it has been a favorite of mine for a long time and then, I don't know why, I forgot about it. It's the Benefit Dandelion blush (€ 33,50), a beautiful pale pink blush with a satin finish. Being a fair complexion girl, I find that the majority of pink blushers tend to make me look like either Heidi or a Barbie doll, and none of these effects is flattering. This Benefit blush, however, is the perfect shade of ballerina pink that suites beautifully lighter skin tones like mine. Moreover its satin, slightly highlighting finish brightens up my face for an immediate perk me up effect. I'm so happy I've decided to start using it again, it's definitely one of my favorite blushers ever.

Eccoci con il primo appuntamento dell'anno con il post dedicato ai miei preferiti del mese. Non mi sembra vero che Gennaio stia terminando, ho atteso così a lungo che arrivassero le vacanze natalizie ed ora che sono passate mi sembrano già lontanissime! Speriamo solo che la primavera non tardi ad arrivare! 

Il primo prodotto di cui voglio parlavi è un prodotto per la cura dei capelli, nello specifico, un balsamo per capelli biondi. Vi ho già detto, in un paio dei miei post precedenti, di aver iniziato ad usare la linea di prodotti Sheer Blonde Go Blonder di John Frieda e di esserne molto soddisfatta. Tuttavia, poiché l'ultima volta che mi sono recata ad acquistare il balsamo, i prodotti della linea Go Blonder erano terminati, ho deciso di ripiegare sul John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Moisturizing Conditioner (€ 11,95). Con mia grande sorpresa, devo ammettere che preferisco questo balsamo al precedente. Idrata in profondità i capelli e ne basta davvero una piccola quantità, anche su una chioma "impegnativa" come la mia. I capelli rimangono morbidissimi e luminosi e il biondo appare più sano e vibrante. 

Sebbene ami moltissimo la crema per il contorno occhi all'avocado di Kiehl's, dopo averla terminata mi sono recata nel loro negozio e ho chiesto qualcosa che avesse proprietà anti età un po' più forti. La signorina mi ha consigliato di provare la loro Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream (€ 37,50) ed ho deciso di fidarmi. La consistenza di questa crema, seppur abbastanza ricca, è un po' meno densa della crema all'avocado, ma l'effetto è ugualmente idratante. Inoltre, trovo che questa crema abbia un maggior potere levigante, il che comporta un miglioramento visibile anche nell'applicazione del correttore. Avendo iniziato ad usarla da appena un paio di settimane, non posso ancora esprimermi in merito alla sua capacità di ridurre rughe e linee d'espressione, tuttavia per il momento mi ritengo molto soddisfatta. 

Con l'abbassarsi delle temperature, ho iniziato ad avere la sensazione che la mia pelle non stesse ricevendo idratazione a sufficienza, motivo per cui ho deciso di acquistare un tonico idratante da utilizzare la sera dopo la detersione. La mia scelta è ricaduta sul Tonico Idratante alla Vitamina E di The Body Shop (€ 9,00), soprattutto per via dei numerosi pareri positivi che ho avuto modo di leggere in merito a questa linea di TBS. Andrò dritta al punto e vi dirò che è stato amore a prima applicazione. Ha un effetto molto rinfrescante e idratante e lascia la pelle morbida e liscia, pur essendo molto leggero e delicato. Un'altra nota positiva è data dal fatto che contiene antiossidanti, importantissimi per proteggere la pelle da aggressioni esterne. 

Il mio ultimo prodotto preferito del mese non è una novità, anzi, è stato uno dei miei prodotti preferiti per moltissimo tempo e poi, per non so quale motivo, l'ho abbandonato. Si tratta del blush Dandelion di Benefit (€ 33,50), un bellissimo rosa chiaro dal finish satinato. Avendo avuto da madre natura il dono di una carnagione cadaverica molto chiara, ho sempre qualche problemino nel relazionarmi con i blush rosati: nella maggior parte dei casi, infatti, finisco per sembrare Heidi o Barbie, a seconda del tono di rosa, e, in entrambi i casi, vi garantisco che l'effetto non è particolarmente lusinghiero. Questo blush, invece, ha una tonalità di rosa ballerina molto delicato, perfetto per le pelli più chiare. Inoltre, il suo finish satinato e leggermente luminoso, ravviva istantaneamente il colorito, rendendo la pelle radiosa anche quando ha un aspetto spento e affaticato. Sono davvero felice di aver ricominciato ad usarlo, è senza dubbio uno dei miei blush preferiti di sempre.

2014 favorites: the best of the best

As I told you in my December favorites post, I've decided to write a post about my favorite products of all 2014. Some of these products are new launches of the year, other are simply new to me, but they all are the products that I've liked the most this years. So, let's start!

SKINCARE

1- The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (€ 16,00): this is my all time favorite make up remover. It's suitable for sensitive skin, it removes any kind of make up, even the waterproof one, and it leaves the skin soft and silky. 

2- Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask (€ 25,00): I'm a huge fan of purifying masks, I've tried quite a few this year, but my favorite is the Kiehl's one. It purifies the skin and makes the pores less visible. It's very effective but it doesn't dry out my skin.

3- Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): if you are looking for a simple rich eye cream, this is the perfect one. Although it's very rich, it absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving the under eye area soft and hydrated for long.

4- Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Serum (€ 35,70): this is a light weight, yet hydrating serum rich with antioxidants, which help fighting wrinkles and protecting the skin against environmental factors like UV rays, pollution, ecc. 

HAIRCARE AND BODYCARE

1- The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter (€ 15,00): this body butter is very rich and creamy and it leaves my skin incredibly soft and hydrated. And the smell is amazing, it makes me want to eat it!

2- Masterline Frizz Control Hair Serum for Straight Hair (€ 7,00): this is like gold in a bottle for my long straight hair. It makes it soft and frizz free, without being heavy or greasy. My hair just loves it!

3- Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer (€ 27,50): this product does everything you need for your hair: it protects it against heat and UV rays, it detangles it and makes it softer, silkier and frizz free. 

MAKE UP

1- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation (€ 38,00): I've tried a lot of different foundations this year, but I always go back to this one. It's lightweight, it doesn't look cakey, it has a light but buildable coverage and it has the most beautiful natural and luminous finish.

2- BareMinerlas Mineral Veil Powder (€ 26,50): hands down the best powder I've ever used. It keeps my make in place all day long, it doesn't feel heavy and it makes my skin look silky and flawless.

3- Nars Creamy Concealer (€ 27,50): although I find that this concealer looks a bit cakey under my eyes, I think it does an mazing job in covering imperfections and rednesses. Thanks to its creamy consistency, it's very easy to blend and it can achieve a quite high coverage without feeling heavy. 

4- Mac Lipstick in the shade Brave (€ 19,00): this is a recent discovery but has suddenly become my favorite lipstick of the year. It's a beautiful mauve pink shade with a satin finish that makes my lips look instantly more plump.  

5- Mac Era eyeshadow (€ 18,00): this is another recent discovery, but it has become my favorite every day eyeshadow. It's a beautiful soft golden beige, perfect to be used in the creases of the eyelids in order to give definition to the eyes.

Come vi ho accennato nel mio post sui preferiti di Dicembre, ho deciso di scrivere un post che riassuma tutti quelli che sono stati i miei prodotti preferiti del 2014. Alcuni sono stati nuovi lanci, altri sono semplicemente prodotti che non avevo mai provato prima, ma sono tutti prodotti che mi hanno conquistata e sono entrati nella mia routine quotidiana. Bene, iniziamo!

CURA DELLA PELLE

1- Olio Detergente alla Camomilla di The Body Shop (€ 16,00): si tratta senza dubbio del mio struccante preferito di sempre. E' adatto alle pelli sensibile, rimuove qualunque tipo di trucco, compreso quello resistente all'acqua,  e lascia la pelle morbida e vellutata.

2- Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask (€ 25,00): sono una grande amante delle maschere purificanti, quest'anno ne ho provate parecchie, ma questa di Kiehl's rimane la mia preferita. Purifica la pelle e minimizza l'aspetto dei pori; sebbene si molto efficace, non secca o irrita la pelle.

3- Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (€ 25,00): se cercate una  semplice crema idratante per il contorno occhi, questa è la scelta perfetta. Sebbene sia molto ricca, si assorbe immediatamente e lascia le pelle del contorno occhi morbida ed idratata a lungo.

4- Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Siero (€ 35,70): si tratta di un siero per il viso molto idratante ma, allo stesso tempo, leggero, ricco di antiossidanti, che aiutano a prevenire e ridurre l'aspetto delle rughe e a proteggere la pelle da fattori ambientali come raggi UV e inquinamento. 

CURA DEI CAPELLI E DEL CORPO

1- The Body Shop Balsamo corpo al Burro di Cacao (€ 15): si tratta di un balsamo corpo molto ricco che lascia la pelle incredibilmente morbida ed idratata. Inoltre, ha un profumo così buono che fa venire voglia di mangiarlo!

2- Masterline Siero Liscio Frizz Control (€ 7,00): questo serio è come oro in bottiglia per i miei capelli lunghi e lisci. Li rende molto più morbidi e combatte  efficacemente l'effetto crespo senza appesantirli. I miei capelli lo adorano!

3- Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer (€ 27,50): questo prodotto fa praticamente tutto quello che serve ai nostri capelli: li protegge dal calore e dai raggi UV, li districa, li rende morbidi, setosi e previene l'effetto crespo.  

MAKE UP

1- Fondotinta Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (€ 38,00): ho avuto modo di provare diversi fondotinta nel corso dell'anno, ma alla fine trono sempre a questo. E' leggero e impercettibile sulla pelle, ha una coprenza bassa ma modulabile e dona alla pelle uno splendido effetto luminoso ma naturale. 

2- Cipria Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals (€ 26,50): è senza dubbio la mia cipria preferita. Fissa il trucco per tutto il giorno, non risulta pesante e fa apparire la mia pelle vellutata e liscia. 

3- Nars Correttore Eclat (€ 27,50): nonostante trovi che questo correttore risulti troppo corposo per essere usato sotto gli occhi, trovo che faccia un ottimo lavoro nel coprire imperfezioni e rossori. La sua consistenza cremosa lo rende facile da sfumare e ne garantisce l'elevata coprenza, senza che risulti pesante sulla pelle. 

4- Rossetto di Mac nella tonalità Brave (€ 19,00): questo rossetto è una scoperta recente, ma è subito diventato il mio rossetto preferito tra tutti quelli che ho provato nel 2014. La sua tonalità è un bellissimo rosa malva con un finish satinato che fa sembrare le mie labbra più piene a carnose. 

5- Ombretto di Mac "Era" (€ 18,00): anche in questo caso si tratta di una recente scoperta, ma è subito diventato il mio ombretto preferito per tutti i giorni. E' un meraviglioso beige dorato, perfetto da essere utilizzato nella piega dell'occhio per dare maggior definizione allo sguardo.

November favorites

 

Here we are with another monthly favorites post. I’m so happy November has come to the end because this means that my favorite time of the year is coming: Christmas time! There’s something magic in this period that makes me feel like a little child. 

But let’s talk about some serious stuff: my favorite beauty products of the month!

The first product I want to talk about is by far my most loved of the month: it’s the Kiehl’s avocado eye cream (€ 25,00). I’d been having it on my wish list for a while when I finally was able to get a couple of samples and I suddenly felt in love with it, so I decided to buy the full size. It’s very thick and dense but it doesn’t feel greasy or oily at all. The skin under my eyes just drinks it and when I apply my concealer it blends beautifully and it doesn’t crease anymore! Amazing!

Another product by Kiehl’s that, instead, has taken me a while before I started loving it is the Kiehl’s Overnight Biological peel (€ 45,00). After I bought it I suddently regretted it: at that time my skin had just recovered from a bad time and I was pretty happy with the products that I was using. What scared me was the fact that introducing a new product that I’ve never tried before could have caused me some bad reactions. So I started using it once every two weeks, then once a week and now I have finally started using it twice a week, how you’re supposed to do, and everything is doing well. It’s a biological night time peel that helps the regeneration of the skin thanks to its gentle, yet effective, exfoliating power. I have to say tha every time I use it, the morning after my skin looks incredibly bright and glowing. I’ve also noticed that some of the red spots left by my last breakout are slowly fading away.

The last addition to my haircare routine is the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil primer (€ 27,50), a thermo and UV protective base that also detangles and conditions the hair, making it soft and frizz-free. You basically get everything your hair needs all in one product, isn't it great? And it really works wonderfully  My hair has been incredibly soft since I've started using it and I don't fear humidity anymore more: this is my greatest anti-frizz ally! Not to mention the amazing smell it has!

The last two make up products that I've been using almost every day this month are both form Mac. The first one is a lipstick and it's call "Brave" (€ 19,00). I decided to buy it because I've read somewhere that it's the lipstick Kylie Jenner uses to wear and I love her voluminous dark nude lips. I'm not surprised that this product has become my new favorite everyday nude lipstick. It's a gorgeous mauve pink shade, with a satin finish, that looks like your lips but better. For some reason, when I wear it my lips, which are already quite plump on their own, looks bigger and more voluminous. 

The other Mac product is an eyeshadow called "Era" (€ 18,00), a beautiful soft golden beige that would look amazing on every skin tones. If you're a neutral eyeshadows lover like myself, you can't but falling in love with it. I think it's the perfect shade to use in your creases to add a bit of definition to the eyes. And, like almost all Mac's eyeshadows, it blends beautifully and the quality of the product is really great.

Eccoci di nuovo all’appuntamento mensile con i miei prodotti preferiti. Non potete immaginare quanto io sia felice che il mese di Novembre sia finalmente terminato, poiché questo significa che il mio periodo dell’anno preferito è alle porte. C’è qualcosa di magico nell’aria quando si avvicina il Natale che mi fa un po’ tornare bambina.

Ma parliamo di cose serie: i miei prodotti preferiti di Novembre!

Voglio iniziare con il prodotto che senza dubbio è stato la migliore scoperta del mese: la crema contorno occhi all’avocado di Kiehl’s (€ 25,00). Era da un po’ che desideravo provarla e, quando finalmente, sono riuscita ad ottenere un paio di campioncini me ne sono subito innamorata, tanto che sono corsa ad acquistare la full size. E’ una crema molto densa e corposa che, tuttavia, non risulta affatto grassa o pastosa. La mia pelle la adora, rimane così morbida e idratata che il correttore non mi da più alcun problema di applicazione e non entra più nelle pieghette sotto gli occhi! Adoro!!

Un altro prodotto Kiehl’s che, invece, ho impiegato un po’ ad apprezzare, è l’Overnight Biological Peel (€ 45,00). Non appena l’ho acquistato me ne sono pentita: in quel periodo, infatti, la mia pelle si era appena ripresa dopo una brutta eruzione cutanea ed ero molto soddisfatta dei prodotti che stavo utilizzando. L’idea di introdurne uno nuovo mai provato prima mi spaventava un po’, poiché non sapevo come la mie pelle avrebbe potuto reagire. Per questo motivo ho iniziato ad utilizzarlo dapprima una volta ogni due settimane, successivamente una volta ogni settimana, per poi giungere al suo corretto utilizzo, ossia due volte a settimana. Devo dire che sono molto soddisfatta, non mi ha causato alcun tipo di reazione allergica e, anzi, ha apportato un notevole miglioramento alla mia routine quotidiana. Si tratta di un peel dalla consistenza fluida, da applicare rigorosamente la notte, che, grazie alle sue proprietà esfolianti, aiuta la pelle a rigenerarsi. Devo ammettere che ogni volta che lo utilizzo, la mattina seguente mi sveglio con la pelle fresca e radiosa. Inoltre ho notato che alcuni dei segni rossi rimasti dopo la mia ultima eruzione cutanea stanno lentamente sbiadendo da quanto ho iniziato ad utilizzare questo peel.

L'ultima aggiunta alla mia routine di cura dei capelli è il Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil primer (€ 27,50), una base termo e UV protettiva che districa ed idrata i capelli, rendendoli morbidi e combattendo l'effetto crespo. In pratica, in un solo prodotto sono racchiusi tutti i trattamenti che vorremmo per i nostri capelli...non è grandioso? E funziona magnificamente! Da quando ho iniziato ad utilizzarlo i miei capelli sono molto più morbidi e l'umidità non è più un problema: ho trovato il mio più grande alleato nella lotta all'effetto crespo! Per non parlare del buonissimo profumo che lascia sui capelli!

Gli ultimi due prodotti che ho utilizzato quasi ogni giorni nel corso del mese sono entrambi di Mac. Il primo è un rossetto, ed, in particolare, sto parlando del celeberrimo "Brave" (€ 19,00), che, pare, sia uno dei rossetti nude utilizzati da Kylie Jenner per ottenere il suo caratteristico effetto ultra voluminoso sulle labbra che sta spopolando ormai da mesi e del quale anche io sono fan! Non mi sorprende, quindi, che questo rossetto sia diventato uno dei miei rossetti nude preferiti di sempre. Si tratta di una meravigliosa tonalità di rosa malva con una punta di marrone che, grazie anche al suo finish satinato, dona un effetto "le mie labbra ma meglio". Per qualche motivo, quando lo indosso le mie labbra, già abbastanza carnose di natura, appaiono più piene e voluminose. 

L'altro prodotto di Mac è un ombretto che si chiama "Era" (€ 18,00), un bellissimo beige dorato molto delicato che penso possa risultare bellissimo su qualunque tipo di carnagione. Se, come la sottoscritta, siete amanti degli ombretti dai toni neutri, questo fa sicuramente al caso vostro. Trovo che sia la tonalità perfetta da utilizzare tutti giorni, applicandolo nella piega dell'occhio per aggiungere un po' di definizione, ma mantenendo un effetto molto semplice e naturale. Inoltre, come la maggior parte degli ombretti di Mac, la qualità del prodotto è davvero ottima!

I have to confess that my beauty products wish list is much, much longer that the one I'm going to share with you in this post. Every time I see or I read about some products that catch my attention, I note their names on my list, but sometimes it takes months before I remember about them. That is why my list is becoming longer and longer! In this post I want to show you a little selection of the beauty products that, at the moment, are on the top of my list.

1 - First of all, of course, a foundation. Being a foundation junkie, every time a new foundation is released, I just can't help myself, I need to try it! This one is by Dior and it's the new Diorskin Star foundation (€ 43,00). From what I've read about this product, it seems to be a lightweight foundation with a medium coverage that is supposed to brighten the skin without making it shiny. No shine, light weight formula, brightening finish? I'm sold!

2 - Another foundation that has been on my with list for a while is not exactly a traditional foundation. It's the Benefit Bigger that BB Big Easy Multi-Blancing Skin Perfector spf 35 (€ 38,90). Such a long name, right? I'm not a fan of BB creams, I find them to be greasy and not so lightweight and I don't believe in the "10 properties in 1" miracle. This Benefit BB cream, however, seems to be formulated for combination to oily skins, like mine, and it sets into a powdery finish that guarantees the lasting power of the product. This is something that I must try for sure!

3 - My all time favorite powder is the Bare Mineral Mineral Veil, however loose powers are not the best to keep in your bag. That is why I'm looking for a good pressed powder and the Clarins Ever Matte Powder ( € 31,50) sounds exactly what I need. I also love the golden packaging!

4 - At the moment I'm very happy with my haircare routine, however there is a product that, I think, might improved it: the Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil Primer (€ 27,50). All the products form the Invisible Oil line seem amazing, but the primer is the one that has been receiving the best reviews. It conditions the hair and protects it against UV radiations. Sounds nice!

5 - As you might know, I'm a huge fan of serums, I think they can do a lot for our skin, and, in particular, I like brightening and exfoliating serum. This is why the Clinique turnaround concentrate radiance renewer serum (€ 59,50) is so appealing to me. Here's what is said on Clinique website: "Fast acting exfoliating serum instantly creates a luminous-from-within radiance. Reveals skin's finest texture, too. Works to optimise natural cell renewal, gently, continually, unveiling skin that's brighter, healthier, more uniform. Becomes softer, younger over time." I love every single word!

6 - I'm always on the search for a good moisturizer that is light enough not to make my combination skin oily, but also hydrating enough to fight dry patches and first wrinkles. I've always heard good things about the Kiehl's rosa arctica moisturizer, but I've always been afraid it would have been too rich for my skin. However, I recently discovered that there is a lighter version, the Kiehl's rosa arctica lightweight cream (€ 52,00), that seems to be perfect for my skin! It's supposed to fight first sights of aging and to make the skin smooth and hydrated. Lovely!

Devo confessare che la mia wish list di prodotti di bellezza è molto, molto più lunga di quella che vi mostrerò in questo post. Ogni volta che vedo o sento parlare di un prodotto che mi sembra interessante, ne annoto il nome; tuttavia, è facile che passino mesi prima che mi ricordi dell'esistenza del prodotto in questione! Ecco perché la mia lista sembra diventare infinita! In questo post voglio mostrarvi una piccola selezione di prodotti che, al momento, occupano i primi post nella classifica dei miei prodotti più desiderati.

1 - Il primo è, ovviamente, un fondotinta. Avendo una particolare predilezione per i fondotinta, non appena ne viene lanciato uno nuovo, le mie antenne si allertano! Questo, in particolare, è il nuovo nato in casa Dior, il Diorskin Star (€ 43,00). Da quanto ho avuto modo di leggere, si tratta di un fondotinta molto leggero sulla pelle che, tuttavia, è in grado di raggiungere una buona media coprenza. Inoltra, illumina l'incarnato senza, però, lucidare la pelle. Leggero, illuminante, anti-lucido? Lo voglio. 

2 - Un altro fondotinta che è nella mia wish list da ormai un bel po' di tempo non è in realtà un fondotinta tradizionale. Si tratta del Benefit Bigger that BB Big Easy Multi-Blancing Skin Perfector spf 35 (€ 38,90). Nome lungo, vero? Normalmente non amo le BB cream, le trovo troppo grasse e non poi così leggere sulla pelle e, soprattutto, non credo neanche un po' al miracolo di "10 proprietà in 1". Questo prodotti di Benefit, tuttavia, sembra essere pensato per pelli miste/grasse e il suo finish cipriato dovrebbe garantirne la durata. Non ci credo finchè non lo vedo sulla mia pelle!

3 - La mia cipria preferita in assoluto è la Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals, tuttavia una cipria in polvere libera non è l'ideale da tenere in borsa per veloci ritocchi durante la giornata. Per questo motivo sto cercando una buona cipria compatta e la Ever Matte di Clarins (€ 31,50) sembra fare proprio al caso mio. E poi il contenitore metallico dorato è carinissimo!

4 - Al momento sono molto soddisfatta della mia routine di cura dei capelli, tuttavia c'è un prodotto che credo potrebbe migliorarla ulteriormente: l'Invisible Oil Primer di Bumble & Bumble  (€ 27,50). Tutti prodotti di questa linea mi sembrano ottimi, ma questo primer è quello che sta ottenendo il maggior numero di recensioni positive. Si applica prima di procedere allo styling e ammorbidisce i capelli, proteggendoli dalle radiazioni UV. Non male, vero?

5 - Come forse saprete, sono una grande amante dei sieri, trovo che possano fare davvero molto per la nostra pelle; in particolare, amo i seri illuminanti ed esfolianti. Ecco perché il siero Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Eenewer di Clinique (€ 59,50) attira così tanto la mia attenzione. Ecco come viene descritto sul sito di Clinique: "Il concentrato che illumina, grazie ad un processo di rinnovamento cellulare multi-livello. Leviga la superficie epidermica donandole un aspetto più luminoso ed omogeneo. Nel tempo la presenza delle linee sottili si attenua notevolmente". Adoro ogni singola parola!

6 - Sono sempre alla ricerca di una buona crema idratante che sia abbastanza leggera da non rendere la mia pelle lucida e sufficientemente idratante da combattere le prime rughe. Ho sentito parlare molto bene della crema Rosa Arctica di Kiehl's, ma ho sempre temuto fosse troppo ricca per la mia pelle. Recentemente, però, ho scoperto l'esistenza della Rosa Arctica Lightweight (€ 52,00), appositamente pensata per pelli miste/grasse. Dovrebbe combatte i primi segni di invecchiamento e lasciare la pelle soffice ed idratata. Bene, bene.

I can't believe September is already ending, Summer passed too fast! This month I've been changing a bit my skincare and my make up in order to prepare my skin for the colder months.

I've told you how much I love the Caudalie Radiance Serum in some for my previous posts. I've been using it all Summer long, but once I've run out of it, I decided to try something a little bit richer and more hydrating, like the Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum (€ 35,70), and I have to say that, like every other Caudalie's products I've tried, it hasn't disappointed me. It's a bit richer than the Radiace Serum, but it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it plumped and moisturized. I also like the fact that it contains antioxidants, which are very important in order to protect the skin against external factors. Another winner from Caudalie!

Last winter I've been using the Nars Deep Throat blush (€ 31,00) basically every single day, but, as soon as Spring stared, I left it behind and I got into more peachy shades. This month, however, I started using it again and I still love it. It's a beautiful pink shade with a tiny bit of shimmer that highlights the cheekbones in a very natural way. It has the perfect pigmentation, not too intense nor too light, and it lasts all day on my cheeks.

My moisturizer of trust this month has been the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00), a very basic cream-lotion that hydrates the skin while keeping oil production under control. Like most of Kiehl's products, it doesn't contain parabens, fragrance and silicons and it's not comedogenic. It's perfect for my combination to oily skin, it's light but gives the right amount of moisture to my skin. Lovely.

My most recent skincare discovery is a face mask that I've been wanting to try for a very long time: the Nuxe Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Active mask (€ 17,90). It's a product aimed to combination and oily skin and it has a triple action: it heats up to dilate the pores, it exfoliates the skin and it's also purifying. I can definitely feel the heat when I apply it, it's a very nice feeling. It's also a very quick mask, you have to leave it on your face only for 2 or 3 minutes, which is perfect for a busy girl like me! The exfoliating action is very gentle and this is something I always like. It leaves my skin very soft and clean, without being harsh or drying. Nice!

Mi sembra impossibile che l'estate sia già finita, è passata così in fretta! Questo mese la mia routine di cura della pelle e di make up ha subito una leggera transizione al fine di prepararmi al meglio al clima più freddo in arrivo.

In un paio dei miei post vi ho parlato del mio amore per il siero Illuminante Anti-Macchie di Caudalie. L'ho utilizzato per tutta la primavera/estate, tuttavia, una volta terminato, ho deciso di provare qualcosa che fosse un po' più ricco e nutriente, come il siero Difesa Anti-Rughe della linea Polyphenol C15, sempre di Caudalie (€ 35,70), e devo dire che, come tutti i prodotti di questo marchio che ho provato, anche questo non mi ha delusa. E' leggermente più ricco del siero illuminante, ma si assorbe rapidamente e lascia la pelle idratata e morbida. Inoltre, contiene antiossidanti, importantissimi per proteggere la pelle da aggressioni esterne. Un altro prodotto vincente da casa Caudalie!

Lo scorso inverno ho usato il blush Deep Throat di Nars praticamente ogni giorno (€ 31,00), per poi abbandonarlo con l'avvento della Primavera, quando ho iniziato ad orientarmi verso tonalità tendenti al pesca. Tuttavia, questo mese ho ricominciato ad utilizzarlo e me ne sono innamorata per la seconda volta. Si tratta di un bellissimo rosa con un leggerissimo finish brillante che illumina gli zigomi in modo molto naturale. Inoltre, ha il perfetto grado di pigmentazione, non eccessiva, ma nemmeno troppo leggera, e dura tutto il giorno senza perdere intensità. 

La mia crema idratante di fiducia questo mese è stata la Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion di Kiehl's (€ 24,00), una crema-lozione molto basilare, che idrata la pelle regolando la produzione di sebo. Come la maggior parte dei prodotti di Kiehl's, anche questo non contiene parabeni, profumo e siliconi ed è non comedogeno. E' la crema perfetta per le pelli miste come la mia, perché dona alla pelle la giusta quantità di idratazione. Adorabile.

La mia ultima scoperta in fatto di skincare è una maschera per il viso che volevo provare da molto tempo: la Nuxe Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Active mask (€ 17,90). Si tratta di un prodotto pensato per le pelli miste o grasse e svolge una triplice azione: dilata i pori grazie al calore che emana appena applicata, esfolia le pelle e la purifica. L'effetto riscaldante è molto gradevole e la maschera in sé è davvero pratica: basta, infatti, lasciarla in posa per 2 o 3 minuti, il che è l'ideale per una ragazza con poco tempo libero come la sottoscritta! Inoltre, l'azione esfoliante è molto delicata e la pelle rimane morbida e purificata.

The "anti-blemmishes" team

I know a lot of people out there sruggle with acne, breakouts and problematic skin and, believe me, I know how frustrating it could be. I myself sometimes soffer of hormonal and diary breakouts and it’s not nice. What I recommend is, of course, to see a doctor; anyway, if your imperfections are not severe, there are some products that might be helpful. I’m going to talk about the products that I think work well for me, but remember that every skin type is different, so I’m not going to say that they would work for everybody!

First of all, when my skin is doing really bad, I relay on two different tonics: the first one is the Tea Tree Water by Lush (€ 10,95). I use it in the morning after my cleanser, it really hepls reducing the oils on my skin and the tea tree oil has antiseptic properties that helps reducing any inflammation and irritation. It’s a wonderful product and it doesn’t dry out my skin, which is always good!

In the evening, instead, two or three times a week, I use my Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner (€ 20,00), which works a little deeper then the Lush toner, as it contains AHA, which gently exfoliate the skin, making it look smoother and reducing any marks or discolorations.

Two times a week I apply a purifying mask and one of my favorites is the Kiehl’s Rare Earth pore cleansing mask (€ 25,00). It’s formulated with Amazonian white clay that helps to unclog your pores. Again, I like the fact that it removes impurities from the pores without being too harsh.

As moisturizer, when I’m breaking out I usually rely on my beloved La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (I’ve tlaked about it here), anyway my dermatologist recently suggested me to try the Gram Acne cream by Esther (€ 12,00), which basically does what the LRP Effaclar duo does, but it’s a little bit more moisturizing, without being too heavy. It helps to calm down any breakout and spot and keeps my skin’s oil production under control.

As a treatment, I always use my Lierac Prescription Antiblemish dual-phase concentrate (€  12,10). I’ve told you how much I love this product in this post, I only apply it on the affected areas before going to bed, and the morning after I can already see some improvements: the inflammation has calm down and the spots are smaller. I love it!

What are you favorites spot treatments?

Sono molte le persone di ogni età che soffrono di acne o, in generale, sono soggette ad eruzioni cutanee di ogni tipo e so quanto questo possa essere frustrante. Io stessa mi trovo a volte a dover affrontare eruzioni ormonali o causate dal consumo di latticini e, credetemi, non è affatto carino! Quello che suggerisco di fare, specialmente se si tratta di imperfezioni gravi, è, ovviamente, di consultare un esperto, tuttavia, in caso di problematiche meno rilevanti, ci sono alcuno prodotti che possono essere d’aiuto. Di seguito vi parlerò di quelli che sono i miei personali alleati in caso di brufoli di vario genere, con la precisazione che il fatto che siano efficaci per me non significa necessariamente che lo debbano essere anche per voi.

Per prima cosa, quando la mia pelle inizia a dare il peggio di sé, mi affido a due differenti tonici. Il primo è l’Acqua di Luna di Lush (€ 10,95), un tonico completamente naturale che utilizzo la mattina dopo la detersione. E’ efficace nel tenere a bada la produzione di olio e le proprietà antisettiche del tea tree oil con il quale è formulato aiutano a ridurre le infiammazioni e le irritazioni che stanno colpendo la mia pelle. E’ un prodotto davvero valido e apprezzo molto il fatto che non secchi la pelle, come altri tonici di questo tipo, invece, fanno.

La sera, due o tre volte la settimana, uso il Tonico Esfoliante Delicato di Clarins (€ 20,00), il quale lavora un po’ più in profondità rispetto al suo collega di Lush. Contiene infatti AHA, che esfoliano delicatamente la pelle, rendendola più luminosa e morbida, facilitando la scomparsa di eventuali macchie o piccole cicatrici.

Due volte la settimana applico una maschera purificante e una delle mie preferite è la Rare Earth Pore di Kiehl’s (€ 25,00). Questa maschera contiene argilla bianca dell’Amazzonia che pare abbia proprietà purificanti. Agisce rimuovendo le impurità che ostruiscono i pori senza essere troppo aggressiva, cosa che la mia pelle apprezza sempre molto!

Come crema normalmente mi affido alla mia adorata Effaclar duo di La Roche Posay, di cui vi ho già parlato qui, tuttavia ultimamente, su consiglio del mio dermatologo, sto utilizzando la Gram Acne di Esther (€ 12,00) e mi sto trovando molto bene. Agisce fondamentalmente come l’Effaclar duo, ma risulta leggermente più idratante, pur essendo sebo normalizzante.

Infine, come trattamento mi affido a Lierac Prescription Antiblemish concentrato bifasico (€ 12,10), del quale ho già parlato in questo post. Lo applico la sera prima di coricarmi, unicamente sulle zone colpite, e la mattina successiva posso già notare che le infiammazioni si sono ridotte. Lo adoro!
