Since I've been doing a little shopping recently, I decided to share with you what I've bought. I've thought that the best way to do it was to film a video, so here it is. I hope you enjoy it!

Here's a roundup of some of the beauty products that I'm loving in this middle Summer time. 

The first is the base that I'm reaching for the most lately, and it's the La Roche Posay Rosaliac CC Creme (€ 21,20). I love it because is extremely light weigh on the skin, it just gives a bit of color and homogeneity to the complexion, but it still let the skin showing through. It's the perfect base for the Summer hot weather. The finish is quite natural, not glowing but not matte either, and the lasting powers is pretty good.

I have to say that my skin is doing pretty well lately, so I don't need any harsh treatment for blemishes or inflammations. However, because of the Summer humidity, sometimes some sporadic little blemishes try to make an appearance on my skin. In this case, I rely on the Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Clearing Gel (€ 17,00). Even if it can be used also in the morning, even under you make up, and can be applied all over your face, I prefer using it only as a night treatment and I apply it in localized areas. It has a gel consistency that turns into a more dry feeling after the application, but I don't find it to be too harsh or drying. I don't know if it works against acne or serious breakouts, but it's really good in fighting minor blemishes and spots.

The last two products are both haircare products. The first one is the John Frieda Sheer Blonde conditioner (€ 11,00). There is also a Sheer Blonde Shampoo and, since I'm liking the conditioner so much, I would probably buy that one too. It's targeted to blonde hair and it contains camomile and citrus extracts, which are supposed to progressively make the hair blonder. I don't know if it works in that sense because I've used only a couple of times and, anyway, I should probably use the shampoo too, but I can say that as a conditioner it works great. It makes my hair super soft and shiny and easy to brush. 

The other haircare product is the L'Oreal Professionnel Lumino Contrast spray (€ 13,35), a biphasic spray that has a double action: it protects against the heat of the hairdryer and, at the same time, it makes your hair luminous and shiny. I apply it on dumb hair, but it can also be applied on dry hair; it's very light, so it doesn't make the hair heavy or oily. I like the fact that my hair is protected and I love how shiny it is after I use it!

Ecco una selezione di alcuni dei prodotti che sto amando maggiormente in queste giornate di metà estate.

Il primo è la base viso che sto utilizzando con più frequenza da qualche tempo a questa parte. Si tratta della Rosaliac CC Creme di La Roche Posay (€ 21,20). Mi piace perché è estremamente leggera sulla pelle, dona semplicemente un po' di colore e omogeneità all'incarnato, lasciando, tuttavia, visibile la pelle del viso. Trovo che sia la base perfetta per affrontare il caldo estivo. Il finish è decisamente naturale, non luminoso ma nemmeno opaco, e la tenuta è molto buona.

Devo dire che la mia pelle si sta comportando molto bene ultimamente, per cui non ho bisogno di utilizzare trattamenti intensivi contro imperfezioni ed infiammazioni. Tuttavia, a causa dell'umidità tipica del periodo estivo, qualche piccolo brufoletto ogni tanto tenta di farsi strada sulla mia faccia; in questo caso, mi affido al Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Clearing Gel (€ 17,00). Nonostante possa essere utilizzando due volte al giorno, anche sotto al make up, e si possa tranquillamente applicare su tutto il viso, io preferisco utilizzarlo come trattamento serale ed applicarlo solo su aree localizzate. La sua texture in gel si trasforma in una consistenza più secca una volta applicato. ma non trovo affatto che sia troppo aggressivo o che tenda a seccare la pelle. Non so come si possa comportare in caso di acne o di gravi eruzioni cutanee, tuttavia, nel caso di sporadici brufoletti funziona alla grande.

Gli ultimi due prodotti sono entrambi prodotti per la cura dei capelli. Il primo è il balsamo della linea Sheer Blonde di John  Frieda (€ 11,00). Esiste anche lo shampoo della stessa linea e, considerando che il balsamo mi sta piacendo molto, probabilmente acquisterò a breve anche questo. Ovviamente, si tratta di una linea pensata per i capelli biondi e il balsamo contiene camomilla ed estratti di agrumi, che dovrebbero progressivamente rendere il colore dei capelli più chiaro. Da questo punto di vista non posso esprimermi poiché l'ho usato solo un paio di volte e, in ogni caso, penso che dovrei usare l'intera linea per vedere risultati, tuttavia come balsamo fa il suo lavoro egregiamente. Rende i miei capelli morbidi e luminosi e districa magnificamente tutti i nodi.

L'altro prodotto di cura dei capelli è lo spray Lumino Contrast di L'Oreal Professionnel (€ 13,35), uno spray bifasico che svolge una doppia azione: protegge i capelli dal calore dell'asciugacapelli e, allo stesso tempo, rende i capelli brillanti e luminosi. Io lo applico sui capelli umidi, ma può tranquillamente essere usato sui capelli asciutti, poiché, essendo molto leggero, non li appesantisce e non li rende oleosi. Mi piace il fatto di sapere che i miei capelli sono protetti e adoro la lucentezza che hanno quando uso questo spray.

No make up, make up

Even if I’m make up addicted, I don’t always like to wear lots of make up; there are days when I prefer to go bare face, with just a little help from make up to conceal what needs to be concealed and to make my pale face look a little more alive.

In these days I don’t usually wear foundation, unless I feel like I need to (= horrible, evil breakouts). In these cases I usually reach for a sheer base, like a very lightweight foundation or a bb or cc cream. I have to admit I’m not a big fan of bb creams, I find them to be a bit heavy and their color range is usually awful. When cc creams have been released I thought that they could have worked better for me, so, as you maight know if you follow me on Instagram, I decided to try the La Poche Posay Rosaliac CC cream (€ 21,20), which turned out to be perfect to achieve a no make up, make up look. When I first apply it my reaction was like “What the heck, this is way too dark and orange for me, I look like an Umpa Lumpa!!!”. This comes in only one shade, which is supposed to adjust to every skin tones. And it does! After a couple of minutes I’ve applied it, it just fades into my skin, giving it a nice and healthy radiance in a very natural way, like if it’s my bare skin, but better. It also has an SPF 30, which is always good. It doesn’t cover imperfections, so, if you have some, you’re going to need a concealer. The one I like to use if I need to it’s the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (€ 36,00), which has a very good coverage and is extremely long lasting. Under the eyes, instead, I like to use something lighter, like an highlighting pen and the one that I usually use when I do this kind of look is the highlighting pen with vitamin c from Bottega Verde (€ 12,99). It brightens my eyes, it doesn’t look greasy and the shade I use (Beige Rosè) matches perfectly my skin, so that, again, the result is very natural.

For a no make up make up look I don’t like to wear blushes, I prefer, instead, to use a light bronzer to contouring my face, in order to add a touch of color, for an healthy, sun-kissed look. The one I’m currently using is the Terre Saharienne Poudre de Soleil by YSL (€ 39,80) in shade 3. If you want to know more about this product, I’ve talked about it in my March favorites post here.

Now, for the eyes I use the Long Lasting stick eyeshadow from Kiko’s Kaleidoscopic collection (€ 13,90) in n. 28, a vanilla shade, in order to brighten and conceal any redness on the eyelids. This eyeshadow is not completely matte, but it’s not shimmering either. It has just a tiny bit of gold in it, but you can barely notice it, so the result is very natural.

If I want to wear mascara, I go for a brown one, like my Pupa Vamp mascara (€ 12,00) in the shade Chocolate brown. It’s a very nice volumizing mascara, it gives a bit of definition and volume to my lashes, but it’s not too intense, which is perfect for this kind of look.

Finally, the lips. In this case I normally opt for a lip balm and that’s it. Sometimes, anyway, I want to add a touch of color to my lips and what I like to use is the Chubby lip stick from Clinique in the color Whole lotta Honey (€ 17,50). What I like the most about this product is that it’s very moisturizing and the color is quite sheer and natural, it’s a sort of warm brown shade, very easy to apply and also very long lasting on my lips.

What are your secret for a no make up, make up look?

Anche se sono una make up addicted, non sempre amo indossare molto trucco; ci sono, infatti, giorni nei quali preferisco optare per un aspetto più naturale, ricorrendo all’aiuto del make up unicamente per correggere eventuali imperfezioni e per ravvivare un po’ la mia carnagione pallida.

In questi giorni, normalmente, non indosso fondotinta, a meno che non ne abbia le necessità (= orribili brufoli nefasti che compaiono sempre nel momento sbagliato!!!!). In questi casi, mi oriento verso una base molto leggera, come un fondotinta a bassa coprenza o una bb o cc cream. Devo confessare di non essere una grande fan delle bb cream, tutte quelle che ho provato fin’ora si sono rivelate troppo pesanti e con una terribile scelta di colorazioni. Quando sono state messe in commercio le cc cream ho pensato che avrebbero fatto un lavoro migliore con la mia pelle, motivo per cui, come probabilmente saprete se mi seguite su Intagram, ho deciso di acquistare la La Roche Posay Rosaliac CC cream (€21,20), che si è rivelata perfetta per raggiungere un "no make up, make up” look. Quando l’ho applicata la prima volta la mia reazione è stata “Ommioddio è scurissima e arancione sembro un Umpa Lumpa!!”. Questa crema, infatti, è disponibile in un’unica tonalità, che dovrebbe avere la capacità di adattarsi a qualsiasi carnagione. E, in effetti, è quello che fa, perlomeno nel mio caso. Dopo un paio di minuti dalla sua applicazione, infatti, svanisce sulla pelle, regalandole un aspetto sano e radioso, come se fosse la mia pelle nuda nelle sue condizioni migliori. Inoltre ha un SPF 30, il che non guasta mai. Essendo molto leggera, non copre eventuali imperfezioni, per le quali è necessario ricorrere ad un buon correttore. Quello che preferisco in questi casi è il Secret Camouflage di Laura Mercier (€ 36,00), che ha una buonissima coprenza a dura davvero molto. Sotto gli occhi, invece preferisco qualcosa di più leggero, come una penna illuminante e quella che di solito utilizzo per ottenere questo tipo di look è il correttore in penna illuminante con vitamina c di Bottega Verde (€ 12,99). Fa un ottimo lavoro nell’illuminare lo sguardo senza appesantirlo e la tonalità che utilizzo (Beige Rosa) si adatta perfettamente alla mia carnagione, facendo sì che l’effetto ottenuto sia, ancora una volta, estremamente naturale, come se non indossassi affatto make up.

Per un no make up, make up look non amo, normalmente, indossare il blush, preferendo, invece, optare per un leggero contouring con un bronzer chiaro, così da rendere i lineamenti più definiti e donare un po’ di colore e un aspetto più sano alla mia pelle. Quello che sto utilizzando al momento e del quale sono molto soddisfatta è il Terre Saharienne Poudre de Soleil di YSL (€ 39,80), nella tonalità numero 3. Passando agli occhi, di solito applico una piccola quantità dell’ombretto in stick della collezione Kaleidoscopic di Kiko (€ 13,90) nella tonalità numero 28, così da correggere eventuali rossori della palpebra e illuminare lo sguardo. Il finish non è completamente matte, ma nemmeno shimmer. Presenta, tuttavia, un leggero riflesso dorato che si nota appena, mantenendo, dunque, il risultato complessivo molto naturale.

A questo punto, normalmente, eviterei il mascara, ma nel caso decidessi di applicarlo, lascerei da parte il nero e mi orienterei verso un mascara marrone. Quello che al momento mi sta piacendo davvero molto è il Vamp di Pupa (€ 12,00) nella tonalità Chocolate brown.Si tratta di un mascara volumizzante molto buono, che regala un po’ di definizione e di volume alle mie ciglia, senza, tuttavia, essere eccessivamente intenso, il che lo rende perfetto per questo tipo di look.

Infine, le labbra. Anche in questo caso, normalmente applicherei solo un buon balsamo idratante, ma se decidessi di donare alle mie labbra un po’ di colore, allora sceglierei senza dubbio il mio Chubby lip stick di Clinique nella tonalità Whole lotta Honey (€ 17,50). Questo prodotto lascia le mie labbra idratate a lungo e la sua colorazione è molto leggera e neutra, è una sorta di marrone caldo, molto facile da applicare e molto duraturo sulle labbra.

Summer beauty essentials

When the weather becomes warmer, our skin care should change a bit, because we don’t need anymore all the heavy moisturizing products we usually use in order to protect our skin from the cold winter weather. That doesn’t mean that we don’t need any moisturizer at all, we just should choose something lightweight and refreshing.

The first thing I usually change when the weather gets warmer is my toner. The one I love to use in this time of the year is from Lierac and its their Vitamin-Enriched Toner (€ 14,85). This product is Summer in a bottle! It’s super refreshing and it smells like orange. Because it’s alcohol free, it’s very gentle on the skin and it leaves a nice clean feeling.

Another product I tend to change in summertime is my eyecream. I usually like heavy moisturizing eyecreams, but in this time of the year I skip to something a little bit lighter, like my Clarins eye contour balm (€ 32,50). I like the fact that, even if is not heavy at all, it makes the skin around my eyes suddently softer and smoother and it also works very well under my make up. Like most of the Clarins products I’ve tried, it’s very gentle, which is good for my sensitive eyes.

For my moisturizer, last summer I discovered the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial oil free lotion (€ 24,00) and I felt in love with it. Having combination to oily skin, oil free products are the best for me and this one in particular is lovely. It is lightweight and moisturizing at the same time, it keeps my skin hydated all day long, without making it oily and it’s also very refreshing. It’s not a fancy product, it doesn’t promise miracols, it’s just a very simple cream that does exactly what it claims to, and it does it very well. As well as being oil free, it’s also paraben free, colorant free and fragrance free. I Love it.

As you all know, it’s very important to wear a good sunscreen  everyday, in order to protect our skin from damages caused by sun’s exposure. It’s something that should be worne all year round, but in summer it’s even more important. My favorite sunscreen is the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL spf 50+ dry touch gel cream (€ 14,92). In winter I usually use the one with spf 30, but in summertime I prefer an higher spf. This one form La Roche Posay is really amazing, it’s not heavy or greasy, it absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving the unpleasant white cast that most of the creams with high spf leave. It’s aimed to sentitive skin and it’s paraben free, fragrance free and non comedogenic. It protects against UVB and UVA and it’s also water resistant. Its anti-shine action and dry finish make it the perfect everyday sunscreen for oilier skins. I always wear make up over it and I’ve never had any problems in terms of longevity or application. It’s wonderful.

Con il cambio di stagione, quando le temperature iniziano a salire, sarebbe bene adattare la nostra skin care alle nuove condizioni climatiche. Non necessitiamo più, infatti, di tutti quei prodotti ad idratazione intensa che utilizziamo durante l’inverno per proteggere la nostra pelle dal freddo. Tuttavia, ciò non significa che si debba rinunciare a creme idratanti, è sufficiente optare per prodotti più leggeri e rinfrescanti.

La prima cosa che cambio quando il clima si fa torrido è il tonico. Quello che preferisco usare in questo periodo è il Tonico Eclat Lozione Vitaminizzara di Lierac (€ 14,85). Questo liquido è l’estate racchiusa in una bottiglia. E’ molto rinfrescante ed ha un gradevolissimo profumo di agrumi. Essendo privo di alcohol è molto delicato e lascia sulla pelle una gradevole sensazione di freschezza e di pulito.

Un altro prodotto che cambio con l’avvento dell’estate è la crema per il contorno occhi. Di solito prediligo creme molto idratanti e corpose, ma in questo periodo preferisco orientarmi su qualcosa di un po’ più leggero, come il Balsamo contorno occhi di Clarins (€ 32,50). Quello che più mi piace di questo prodotto è il fatto che, pur non essendo per nulla pesante, idrata molto bene l’area intorno ai miei occhi, lasciano la pelle liscia e rimpolpata e fornendo un’ottima basa per il make up. Inoltre, come la maggior parte dei prodotti Clarins che ho provato fin’ora, è estremamente delicato, il che è un bene per i miei occhi sensibili.

Per quanto riguarda la crema idratante, l’estate scorsa ho scoperto la lozione Ultra Facial Oil-free di Kiehl’s (€ 24,00) e me ne sono innamorata. Avendo una pelle mista, i prodotti oil free sono i migliori per me e questo, in particolare, fa davvero un ottimo lavoro. E’ una crema molto leggera ed idratante al tempo stesso, nutre la mia pelle per tutto il giorno senza renderla lucida ed ha un effetto davvero rinfrescante. Non è una di quei prodotti che promettono meraviglie, è molto basico e semplice ma fa esattamente quello che promette. Oltre ad essere oil-free, è anche privo di parabeni, coloranti e profumazioni. Lo adoro.

Come tutti sapete, è molto importante applicare tutti i giorni sul viso una buona protezione solare, per proteggere la pelle dai danni causati dall’esposizione al sole. E’ qualcosa che dobbiamo ricordarci di fare tutti i giorni durante tutto l’anno, ma d’estate diventa ancora più importante. La mia protezione solare preferita è La Roche Posay Anthelios XL spf 50+ dry touch gel cream (€ 14,92). Durante l’inverno, di solito, utilizzo la versione con spf 30, ma appena il clima cambia preferisco aumentare il fattore protettivo. Questa crema è davvero meravigliosa, non è pesante o corposa e si assorbe rapidamente senza lasciare quello sgradevole alone bianco che la maggior parte delle creme con alta protezione solare lascia sulla pelle. E’ pensata per le pelli più sensibili ed è priva di parabeni, priva di profumazioni e non comedogena. Fornisce un’elevata protezione agli UVB e UVA ed è resistente all’acqua. La sua azione anti-lucido e il suo finish secco la rendono la protezione solare giornaliera ideale per le pelli miste o grasse. Indosso spesso il mio make up sopra questa crema e non ho mai avuto problemi in termini di durata o di applicazione. E’ perfetta.

I’ve always enjoyed doing my make up, I like to play with it, mixing together different products and discovering the many results you can achieve. You know, it’s just makeup, I think it should be something funny and it shouldn’t be taken too seriously. I mean, at the end of the day you wash everything away, so don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun!

What I’ve been doing latley is mixing my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation (€ 38,00) with my Mac Prolongwear (€ 33,27) one, in order to achieve the Chanel foundation glowing finish together with the lasting powder of the Mac one. And it works perfectly!

Have I ever mention my passion for blushes? I have very pale skin and a touch of blush brings a bit of color to my complexion, giving it a nice healthy look. The one I’ve been loving for the last couple of weeks is Deep Throat from Nars (€ 30,00), a beautiful pinkish blush with a bit of glow in it. Perfect for every skintone.

My skin has been a little spotty recently, maybe because I’ve been eating tons of chocolate every day...what can I say, I can’t resist! Naughty me! Anyway, I’ve started using the La Roche Posey Effaclar Duo (€ 17,15), and it’s really helping a lot. It’s an anti-imperfection treatment with a gelly consistency that can be used morning and night. I really recommend this product if you soffer from breakouts and have combination to oily skin. For drier skins this may be not moisturizing enough, but I think you can use it in combination with a good moisturizer and that would be ok.

I’ve told you about the Clarins Lotus Oil (€ 34,95) in my haul post here, and the more I use it the more I love it. I apply three drops of it on my face two or three nights a week, it moisturizes my skin and makes it look brighter and healthier and, even if it's an oil, when I wake up in the morning my skin doesn’t look oily at all.

Another product from Calrins, but this time I’m talking about the Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner (€ 20,00). I use it two times a week after my cleanser, and it gently exfoliates the skin, making it look smoother and brighter. I don’t usually like to scrub my face, because my skin is a bit sensitive, but this lotion is very gentle and it’s very good for skins that are prone to brakeouts.

Ho sempre trovato il make up in qualche modo divertente, mi piace giocarci mescolando più prodotti per ottenere risultati nuovi e diversi. In fondo è solo trucco, non bisognerebbe prendersi troppo sul serio. E’ qualcosa che alla fine della giornata si lava via, per cui non abbiate paura di sperimentare un po’ ogni tanto. 

Quello che ho iniziato a fare ultimamente è stato mescolare il fondotinta Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (€ 38,00) con il Mac Prolongwear (€ 33,27), così da ottenere l’effetto finale naturale e luminoso del primo in combinazione alla lunga durata del secondo. E il risultato è perfetto!

Vi ho mai detto di avere una passione particolate per i blush? Avendo una carnagione molto chiara, un tocco di blush porta un po’ di colore al mio viso e mi regala un aspetto decisamente più sano. Il mio preferito ultimamente è Deep Throat di Nars (€ 30,00), si tratta di una bellissima tonalità di rosa con un leggero effetto luminoso. Perfetto per tutte le carnagioni!

Ultimamente la mia pelle non è nella sua condizione migliore, forse a causa delle tonnellate di cioccolato che sto mangiando ogni giorno…cosa posso dire, non so resistere, sono tremenda! In ogni caso, quello che mi sta davvero aiutando in questo senso è Effaclar duo di La Roche Posay (€ 17,15), un trattamento anti-imperfezione con la consistenza di un gel da utilizzare una o due volte al giorno. Lo consiglio davvero a chi ha problemi di acne o imperfezioni ed ha una pelle mista/grassa. Per le pelli più secche non credo sia sufficientemente idratante, ma utilizzandolo in combinazione ad una crema più ricca il problema dovrebbe essere risolto.

Ho già parlato del Clarins Lotus Oil (€ 34,95) nel post “Beauty Haul” qui, e devo dire che più lo uso più lo amo. Applicandone tre gocce sul viso due o tre notti la settimana idrata la mia pelle, donandole un aspetto sano e luminoso. Nonostante si tratti di un olio, al mio risveglio la mattina successiva la mia pelle non rimane affatto unta.

Altro prodotto di Clarins, questa volte sto parlando del Tonico Esfoliante Delicato (€ 20,00). Lo uso un paio di sere la settimana dopo il detergente, esfolia delicatamente la pelle e la rende morbida e luminosa. Normalmente non sono una grande amante degli srub, trovo che siano troppo aggressivi per la mia pelle sensibile, ma questo è davvero molto delicato ed è inoltre estremamente efficace nel combattere brufoli o imperfezioni.
