I love Autumn, it's probably my favorite season. Of course, I love Summer, but fall's colors have no comparison. I find all these beautiful worm shades very inspiring for make up as well.

Amo molto l'autunno, è probabilmente la mia stagione preferita dell'anno. Certo, l'estate è meravigliosa, ma i colori autunnali creano un paesaggio che non ha paragoni. Queste stesse tonalità calde sono spesso fonte di ispirazione anche per il make up.

On the eyes I've been playing a lot with brown and burgundy shades, using a neutral or champagne color as a base. I love how those colors, together, warm up the complexion and emphasize the eye look. They look amazing on green eyes, but I find that they look good basically on everyone.

My favorite eyeshadows for this kind of look are the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows (€ 6,90) in the shades 07, a beautiful shimmery champagne shade, n. 04, a brown color with a touch of gold, and n. 37, a gorgeous luminous red purple color. These eyeshadows are very easy and quick to blend and also very long lasting. 

Another combination of eyeshadows I like is the Kiko Eyeshadow (€ 2,90) in the shade 208, a beautiful pearly copper shade, and the Kiko Water Eyeshadow (€ 8,90) in the shade 108, a gorgeous light gold with a warm undertone. For mascara I usually prefer a brown one, like the Pupa Vamp! (€  8,99) in the shade 200 Chocolate Brown. 

Sugli occhi mi piace molto giocare con i toni del marrone e del borgogna, utilizzando, come base, un color crema o champagne. Adoro come questi colori, insieme, riscaldino l'incarnato ed enfatizzino lo sguardo. Trovo che mettano in risalto in modo meraviglioso gli occhi verdi, ma, ad essere sinceri, sono tonalità che stanno molto bene praticamente a tutti.

Gli ombretti che preferisco per questo tipo di look sono i Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows (€ 6,90) nelle tonalità 07, un bellissimo champagne brillante, n. 04, un marrone con riflessi dorati, e 37, uno stupendo color vinaccia molto luminoso. 

Un'altra combinazione di ombretti che amo è data dall'accostamento tra il Kiko Eyeshadow (€ 2,90) nella tonalità n. 208, un bel rame perlato, e il Kiko Water Eyeshadow (€ 8,90), tonalità n. 108, un graziosissimo color oro con sottotono caldo. Come mascara, preferisco orientarmi verso un marrone, come il Pupa Vamp! (€  8,99) nel colore n. 200 Chocolate Brown. 

When I discovered the Nars blush (€ 30,50) in the shade "Seduction", I suddenly felt in love with it. I think it's the perfect fall shade, it's a dark red wine color, with a tiny bit of shimmer in it. At first, I was afraid it would have been too dark for my fair skin tone, but, if applied lightly, it looks gorgeous.  

Quando ho scoperto il blush di Nars (€ 30,50) nella tonalità "Seduction" me ne sono subito innamorata. Si tratta di un bellissimo color sangria molto intenso, con un leggerissimo finish luminoso. Lo trovo assolutamente perfetto per l'autunno. All'inizio temevo sarebbe stato troppo scuro per la mia carnagione chiara, tuttavia, se applicato in minima dose, è stupendo. 

For the lips I have two favorite lipsticks in the perfect fall shades, one is deeper, while the other is a bit more light and sheer. The first one is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture (€ 28,90) in the color n. 206, a matte finish lipstick in a very deep and dramatic shade which is a mix of blood red, burgundy and brown. For a more wearable daytime look, I like the Kiko Smart Lipstick (€ 3,90) in the shade n. 913, a gorgeous rosewood pinky shade, that looks quite intense but can be easily sheered out, thanks to its creamy formula.

Per quanto riguarda le labbra, sono due i rossetti che prediligo per la stagione autunnale, uno più scuro e intenso, l'altro più chiaro e leggero. Il primo è il YSL Rouge Pur Couture (€ 28,90) color n. 206, un rossetto con finish opaco in una tonalità molto intensa e profonda che rappresenta un mix tra rosso sangue, color borgogna e marrone. Per un look da giorno più facile da portare, mi piace molto il Kiko Smart Lipstick (€ 3,90) nella tonalità n. 913, un bellissimo rosa palissandro che può sembrare abbastanza intenso ma che, grazie alla sua consistenza cremosa, è molto facile da sfumare e alleggerire.

September favorites

I can't believe September is already ending, Summer passed too fast! This month I've been changing a bit my skincare and my make up in order to prepare my skin for the colder months.

I've told you how much I love the Caudalie Radiance Serum in some for my previous posts. I've been using it all Summer long, but once I've run out of it, I decided to try something a little bit richer and more hydrating, like the Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum (€ 35,70), and I have to say that, like every other Caudalie's products I've tried, it hasn't disappointed me. It's a bit richer than the Radiace Serum, but it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it plumped and moisturized. I also like the fact that it contains antioxidants, which are very important in order to protect the skin against external factors. Another winner from Caudalie!

Last winter I've been using the Nars Deep Throat blush (€ 31,00) basically every single day, but, as soon as Spring stared, I left it behind and I got into more peachy shades. This month, however, I started using it again and I still love it. It's a beautiful pink shade with a tiny bit of shimmer that highlights the cheekbones in a very natural way. It has the perfect pigmentation, not too intense nor too light, and it lasts all day on my cheeks.

My moisturizer of trust this month has been the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (€ 24,00), a very basic cream-lotion that hydrates the skin while keeping oil production under control. Like most of Kiehl's products, it doesn't contain parabens, fragrance and silicons and it's not comedogenic. It's perfect for my combination to oily skin, it's light but gives the right amount of moisture to my skin. Lovely.

My most recent skincare discovery is a face mask that I've been wanting to try for a very long time: the Nuxe Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Active mask (€ 17,90). It's a product aimed to combination and oily skin and it has a triple action: it heats up to dilate the pores, it exfoliates the skin and it's also purifying. I can definitely feel the heat when I apply it, it's a very nice feeling. It's also a very quick mask, you have to leave it on your face only for 2 or 3 minutes, which is perfect for a busy girl like me! The exfoliating action is very gentle and this is something I always like. It leaves my skin very soft and clean, without being harsh or drying. Nice!

Mi sembra impossibile che l'estate sia già finita, è passata così in fretta! Questo mese la mia routine di cura della pelle e di make up ha subito una leggera transizione al fine di prepararmi al meglio al clima più freddo in arrivo.

In un paio dei miei post vi ho parlato del mio amore per il siero Illuminante Anti-Macchie di Caudalie. L'ho utilizzato per tutta la primavera/estate, tuttavia, una volta terminato, ho deciso di provare qualcosa che fosse un po' più ricco e nutriente, come il siero Difesa Anti-Rughe della linea Polyphenol C15, sempre di Caudalie (€ 35,70), e devo dire che, come tutti i prodotti di questo marchio che ho provato, anche questo non mi ha delusa. E' leggermente più ricco del siero illuminante, ma si assorbe rapidamente e lascia la pelle idratata e morbida. Inoltre, contiene antiossidanti, importantissimi per proteggere la pelle da aggressioni esterne. Un altro prodotto vincente da casa Caudalie!

Lo scorso inverno ho usato il blush Deep Throat di Nars praticamente ogni giorno (€ 31,00), per poi abbandonarlo con l'avvento della Primavera, quando ho iniziato ad orientarmi verso tonalità tendenti al pesca. Tuttavia, questo mese ho ricominciato ad utilizzarlo e me ne sono innamorata per la seconda volta. Si tratta di un bellissimo rosa con un leggerissimo finish brillante che illumina gli zigomi in modo molto naturale. Inoltre, ha il perfetto grado di pigmentazione, non eccessiva, ma nemmeno troppo leggera, e dura tutto il giorno senza perdere intensità. 

La mia crema idratante di fiducia questo mese è stata la Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion di Kiehl's (€ 24,00), una crema-lozione molto basilare, che idrata la pelle regolando la produzione di sebo. Come la maggior parte dei prodotti di Kiehl's, anche questo non contiene parabeni, profumo e siliconi ed è non comedogeno. E' la crema perfetta per le pelli miste come la mia, perché dona alla pelle la giusta quantità di idratazione. Adorabile.

La mia ultima scoperta in fatto di skincare è una maschera per il viso che volevo provare da molto tempo: la Nuxe Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Active mask (€ 17,90). Si tratta di un prodotto pensato per le pelli miste o grasse e svolge una triplice azione: dilata i pori grazie al calore che emana appena applicata, esfolia le pelle e la purifica. L'effetto riscaldante è molto gradevole e la maschera in sé è davvero pratica: basta, infatti, lasciarla in posa per 2 o 3 minuti, il che è l'ideale per una ragazza con poco tempo libero come la sottoscritta! Inoltre, l'azione esfoliante è molto delicata e la pelle rimane morbida e purificata.

My favorite concealers

In this post I’d like to share with you my thoughts about my top 4 favorite concealers.

If you follow my blog, you already know how much I love the L’Oreal Lumi Magique concealer (€ 14,50), I’ve talked about it here. It’s an highlighting pen that brightens the under eyes area, making any signs of fatigue disappear in a second. I have the shade (can you guess?) “Light”. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t get in the fine lines, which is something I really appreciate. I use it also to highlight the area around my nose, around my lips and under my eyebrows. It’s just amazing and it also has a very affordable price. It’s my favorite under eye concealer ever!!!

Ok, I you will probably think that I’ve gone crazy or something, because the concealer I’m going to talk about was one of my disappointing product, as you can see in this post. I’m talking about the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer (€ 27,50). The fact is that, as I said in that post, I was disappointed because I wanted to use it under my eyes, but it gets too cakey and I don’t like how it looks. However, it’s very good in concealing imperfections and discolorations. It’s creamy formula makes it very quick to apply and very easy to blend. Thanks to its high coverage, it is able to conceal spots and blemishes very well and it lasts forever on the skin. This is my go to concealer, the one I use when I need a bit of coverage and I’m in a hurry. I have the shade Vanilla.

The Make up Forever Full Cover concealer (€ 31,50) it’s really phenomenal. Like its name suggests, it has a full coverage and it’s also water resistant. It literally covers anything! It’s super easy to apply, I usually use my fingers and, even if it’s a full coverage concealer, it doesn’t look cakey at all. Sometimes I wear only this on the area where I need coverage and I skip the foundation. Moreover, it’s extremely long lasting. Brilliant! My shade is number 5.

I decided to try the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (€ 36,00) because of Lisa Eldridge. Every time I watch one of her videos I feel like I absolutely need to buy everything she has used in that video, like if I can’t do my make up anymore without all that products…Is it just me? Or does that happen to you too? That woman could make my buy anything!!!! Anyway, the Secret Camouflage is her favorite concealer, she uses it every time, so I had to buy it!! I have it in the shade SC-3. It’s a bit expensive, but I bought it a year ago and I still have a lot of product left. This is because a tiny bit of it is enough to conceal any imperfection on your face. It’s not the most easy concealer to use, you have to work a little with it; I apply it using the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage brush, which allows a very precise application. I think this is the secret with this concealer, the precision. I apply it only on the imperfections, otherwise it will look a bit cakey. Another thing that you’re supposed to do is worming the product with your finger or on the back of your hands before you apply it, because it has a very dry and thick consistency. Anyway, I find that I waste a lot of product when I first apply it on my hand, so don’t usually do that and it works good as well. Like the other concealer I’ve talked about, this one is very long lasting.

In questo post vorrei condividere con voi la mia opinione in merito ai miei correttori preferiti.

Se seguite il mio blog, sarete già a conoscenza del mio amore per il correttore L’Oreal Lumi Magique (€ 14,50), ne ho parlato in precedenza qui. E’ un correttore in penna che illumina l’area intorno agli occhi, facendo sparire in un istante qualunque segno di stanchezza. La mia tonalità è (#chevelodicoafare) la più chiara, “Light”.

E’ un prodotto molto leggero, si sente appena sulla pelle e non si insinua nelle rughe d’espressione sotto gli occhi, cosa, per me, fondamentale. Mi piace usarlo anche come illuminante nella zona intorno al naso, intorno alla bocca e sotto le sopracciglia. Lo trovo meraviglioso e il prezzo è decisamente abbordabile. E’ il mio correttore preferito per il contorno occhi!

Ok, probabilmente penserete che sono impazzita, perché in questo post vi ho parlato del correttore Eclat di Nars (€ 27,50) come di un prodotto deludente. Il fatto è che, come ho spiegato in quel post, questo correttore mi ha delusa perché la mia speranza era quella di utilizzarlo per il contorno occhi, cosa che, invece, non posso fare: risulta, infatti, troppo pesante e si insinua nelle rughe d’espressione. Tuttavia, è ottimo per correggere imperfezioni e macchie. La sua formula cremosa lo rende estremamente veloce da applicare e facile da sfumare. Grazia alla sua alta coprenza, inoltre, è in grado di nascondere perfettamente ogni tipo di imperfezione e dura sulla pelle tutto il giorno. Questo è il correttore al quale mi affido quando ho bisogno di aggiungere coprenza al mio make up e sono di fretta. La mia tonalità è Vanilla.

Il correttore Full cover di Make up Forever (€ 31,50) è davvero fenomenale. Come suggerisce il nome, ha una coprenza molto alta ed è anche resistente all’acqua. E’ in grado di coprire davvero qualunque imperfezione. Inoltre è molto facile da applicare, normalmente io utilizzo le dita e, nonostante la sua elevata coprenza, non risulta affatto pesante o pastoso, ma dona un effetto estremamente naturale. A volte utilizzo solo questo prodotto, applicandolo unicamente su eventuali imperfezioni, senza applicare il fondotinta. Lo trovo un prodotto davvero brillante! La mia tonalità è la numero 5.

Ho deciso di acquistare il Secret Camoufalge di Laura Mercier (€ 36,00) a causa di Lisa Eldridge. Ogni volta che guardo uno dei suoi video, sento l’impellente necessità di acquistare tutti i prodotti che ha utilizzato, come se, senza di essi, non fosse più possibile per me truccarmi, come se fossero prodotti di prima necessità, dei quali non posso pensare di fare a meno…Sono solo io? O capita anche a voi? Quella donna avrebbe il potere di farmi comprare qualunque cosa! In ogni caso, il Secret Camouflage è uno dei suoi correttori preferiti, lo usa praticamente in ogni suo video, motivo per cui non ho potuto fare altro che acquistarlo! La tonalità che ho scelto è SC-3. E’ un prodotto un po’ costoso, tuttavia, pur avendolo ormai da un anno, ne ho utilizzato meno di metà. Questo perché ne basta una minima quantità per correggere imperfezioni come brufoli, macchie o iper pigmentazioni. Non è un correttore facile da utilizzare, è necessario lavorarlo un po’ per applicarlo correttamente. Io utilizzo il pennello Secret Camouflage, di Laura Mercier, per ottenere un’applicazione precisa. Trovo, infatti, che il segreto, con questo prodotto, sia proprio la precisione; per questo motivo lo applico solo sull’imperfezione che voglio nascondere, lavorandolo per ottenere la coprenza desiderata e sfumandolo al meglio. Un’altra cosa che sarebbe meglio fare per facilitarne la stesura, è  riscaldarlo con le dita o sul dorso della mano prima di stenderlo, così da ammorbidirne la consistenza. Tuttavia, trovo che in questo modo venga sprecato troppo prodotto, per cui è qualcosa che normalmente tendo ad evitare e sono sempre riuscita ad applicarlo ugualmente senza problemi. Come gli altri correttori di cui vi ho parlato, anche questo ha una buonissima durata sulla pelle.

Disappointing product #2

This time, I’m going to talk about the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (€ 27,50), but, before I start, I want to clarify that I really like this product. What disappoints me is the fact that I can’t use it the way I wish I could use it. Ok, let me explain.

I’ve been wanting this product for a very long time, I’ve read great things about it, I thought this would have been the perfect under eyes concealer: it has coverage, it’s creamy and it has a natural luminous finish. Everything seems amazing on the paper! Unfortunatly my shade, Vanilla, strangely seems to be the shade that all the other people in the world have too, so it was always sold out, and I didn’t manage to buy it since some weeks ago. Meanwhile, my desire and my expectations have grown enormously, so it’s quite obvious that a disappointment would have been around the corner!

The fact is that I can’t use this concealer under my eyes as I wanted to. It’s too heavy and flaky and it gets in the fine lines under the eyes. I’ve tried everything, but it just doesn’t work for me.

I love to use it to cover any redness or imperfection and it does a great job in it, it has a very good coverage and it’s super long lasting, but I can’t hide my disappointment. I really want it to be my perfect under eye concealer, but, sadly, it isn’t.

Secondo appuntamento con la serie “prodotti che mi hanno deluso”. Se avete perso il primo post, lo trovate a questo link.

Questa volta voglio parlare del Correttore Eclat di Nars (€ 27,50), ma, prima di iniziare, ci tengo a precisare che, in realtà, questo prodotto mi piace molto. Ciò che mi ha deluso è il fatto che non posso utilizzarlo come invece avrei voluto. Ok, lasciate che mi spieghi meglio.

Ho desiderato questo correttore per moltissimo tempo, tutti ne parlavano benissimo e quello che ho letto a riguardo lo ha reso, ai miei occhi, il correttore perfetto per le occhiaie: è coprente, è cremoso ed è illuminante. Sulla carta sembra tutto bellissimo.

Purtroppo per molto tempo non sono riuscita ad acquistarlo perché pare che la mia tonalità, Vanilla, sia stranamente anche la tonalità utilizzate da tutto il resto del mondo, visto che è perennemente sold out! Un paio di settimane fa, però, sono finalmente riuscita nell’impresa, ma, nel frattempo, ovviamente, il mio desiderio e le mie aspettative sono cresciute a dismisura, rendendo assai prevedibile la possibilità di rimanerne delusa.

Il fatto è che non posso usarlo come correttore per il contorno occhi, come invece avrei voluto. E’ troppo pesante e corposo e si insinua nelle linee d’espressione, creando un effetto poco gradevole. Ho provato in ogni modo a cercare di risolvere la situazione, ma non posso fare altro che ammettere che su di me semplicemente non funziona.

Mi piace moltissimo usarlo per coprire eventuali arrossamenti o imperfezioni perché ha davvero un’ottima coprenza e un’eccellente durata e in questo senso fa un ottimo lavoro. Solo che non posso nascondere il mio disappunto, credevo sarebbe stato il correttore per occhiare perfetto, ma, purtroppo, così non è.

My foundation collection: part 1

In the last couple of years my skin changed a lot and, with it, I changed my skincare routine, as well as my make up products. I've become aware that what had been working for me since then, wasn’t good for me any more and I started to like make up products I didn’t like before.

For example, I’ve always been a fan of matte foundations and I’ve never thought that one day I would have bought a dewy finish one. I still like matte foundations, but most of them don’t look good on me anymore. Since I’ve started suffering from diary breakouts, I started to notice that matte products sometimes look cakey on me and accentuate the dry patches, due to the drying products I use as medications. At the same time, I have combination skin and I tend to get oily in my T zone, so I can’t really use glowy or dewy foundations, since they start to make me shiny after a couple of hours. Moreover, I don’t like heavy coverage foundations, but, when I have some breakout going on, I need a bit of coverage in order to feel comfortable.

As a result I’ve become very hard to please when it comes to foundation and that brings me to have a sort of obsession: I always want to try new foundations, every time a new one is released I feel like I need to try it…yeah, I know, I’m a sick person!

So, I want to show you the foundations that I own at the moment and I’m going to share with you my thoughts about them.

Let’s start with my latest purchase, the Clinique Anti-blemish solution foundation. I have it in the shade 02 “fresh ivory”, which is the lightest shade you can find here in Italy, but it’s still a tiny bit dark for me. Despite that, I’ve been enjoying this foundation a lot, it’s very long lasting, it has a medium coverage and it feels very lightweight on my skin. I also like a lot its natural finish, it’s not dewy but it’s not too matte either. Its beige undertone it’s not the best on my skin, it tends to look a bit grey, but if I mix it with a little bit of my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which has a yellow undertone, it just becomes perfect.

Suitable for: combination to oily skin, sensitive skin

Since I’ve mentioned it, I’m going to talk now about my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, I have it in the shade “beige 10”, a light shade with a yellow under tone. I love this foundation, it has an amazing luminous finish, but not too dewy or glowy, it just looks like your skin, but healthier and brighter. It’s very lightweight and it has a light coverage, but it’s enough to cover minor imperfections. I use it when my skin is doing well and, with a little bit of concealer, the result is perfect. It’s not the most long lasting foundation, but it’s not even that bad. And the shade I own is perfect.

Staying powder: 7

Color range: 7

Finish: 9,5

Coverage: 7

Suitable for: any skin type except for sensitive because it contains alcohol and fragrance

Nars sheer matte. This foundation is very similar to one of my all time favorite, the Mac ProLongwear foundation, even if I think the Mac one is a little bit more long lasting. Anyway, the Nars sheer matte is a very nice foundation, not wow for me, but I like it. The main problem, again, is that there is no right shade for me amongst the ones sold here in Italy. I believe the right match for me would be Gobi, which is not available in Italy, but I’m not sure. The one I have, Dauville, is a bit too dark, not that much, but it oxidizes a little, becoming even darker. I like the finish, even if its name suggests a matte finish, I find it to be very natural and the coverage is  buildable, you can go from a light-medium coverage to a medium-heavy coverage. It also has a pretty good staying powder, I’d say 8 hours at least.

Negli ultimi due anni la mia pelle ha attraversato diversi cambiamenti e, con lei, sono cambiati anche la mia skincare routine e i prodotti di make up che ero abituata ad utilizzare. Sono diventata consapevole del fatto che quello che prima bene si adattava alla mia tipologia di pelle, ora non sembra più apportare alcun beneficio ed ho iniziato, quindi, ad interessarmi a prodotti di make up che fino ad allora mai avevano catturato la mia attenzione. Ad esempio, sono sempre stata un’amante dei fondotinta con effetto matte e mai avrei pensato che un giorno avrei deciso di comprarne uno con finish luminoso. Amo ancora molto l’effetto matte, ma mi rendo conto che spesso non mi dona come una volta. Da quando, infatti, ho iniziato a soffrire di eruzioni cutanee dovute ad un’intolleranza ai latticini, ho notato che questi prodotti sembrano molte volte troppo “finti” sulla mia pelle e vanno ad accentuare eventuali aree secche che si manifestano a causa dei prodotto che utilizzo per curare eventuali sfoghi in essere.

D’altro canto, avendo una pelle mista che tende a lucidarsi nella zona T, i fondotinta con un effetto luminoso non hanno, di solito, una tenuta sufficiente per me. Inoltre, normalmente non amo fondotinta troppo pesanti e coprenti, tuttavia, nei periodo in cui la mia pelle è soggetta ad imperfezioni, ho bisogno di un po’ più di coprenza, così da sentirmi maggiormente a mio agio.

Il risultato è che per me è diventato difficilissimo trovare un fondotinta che mi soddisfi al 100%, il che mi ha portato a sviluppare una sorta di ossessione nei confronti di questi prodotti: voglio sempre provarne altri, indipendentemente da quanti già ne possegga, e, non appena ne viene messo in commercio uno nuovo, sento la necessità irrefrenabile di acquistarlo…lo so, sono una persona malata!

Avendo quindi accumulato al momento una discreta quantità di fondotinta, mi piacerebbe mostrarveli e condividere con voi la mia opinione su ciascuno di loro.

Voglio iniziare con il mio ultimo acquisto, il Clinique Anti-blemish solution. La mia tonalità è la 02 “fresh ivory” che, nonostante sia la tonalità più chiara venduta in Italia, è comunque leggermente scura per me. A dispetto di ciò, questo fondotinta mi sta piacendo molto, ha un’ottima durata, una buona coprenza ed è leggerissimo sulla pelle. Inoltre, ha un finish estremamente naturale, non troppo luminoso ma nemmeno troppo opaco. Il suo sottotono beige non è il migliore sulla mia pelle, ma mi basta mescolarlo con qualche goccia del mio Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, che ha, invece, un sottotono giallo, per diventare perfetto.

Dal momento che ne ho appena fatto menzione, parlerò ora del fondotinta Vitalumiere Aqua di Chanel. La mia tonalità è “10 beige”, una tonalità chiara dal sottotono giallo che è perfetta per la mia carnagione. Adoro questo fondotinta, ha uno splendido finish, dona uno splendido effetto radioso al viso, senza essere né troppo luminoso né matte, facendo apparire la pelle più sana e raggiante. Risulta estremamente leggero sulla pelle e, pur avendo una coprenza tendenzialmente bassa, riesce bene a nascondere le imperfezioni minori. Di solito lo uso quando la mia pelle non presenta particolari problemi e, in combinazione ad un po’ di correttore, il risultato è perfetto. Non è un fondotinta a lunga durata, tuttavia non se la cava nemmeno così male.

Nars sheer matte. Questo fondotinta è molto simile a uno dei miei preferiti di sempre, il Mac Prolongwear, anche se quest’ultimo ha una tenuta maggiora sulla mia pelle. In ogni caso, il Nars sheer matte è un buon fondotinta, niente di straordinario, ma si difende abbastanza bene. Il problema, per quanto mi riguarda è, ancora una volta, il fatto che manchi la tonalità adatta me. Credo, infatti, che la scelta migliore per me sarebbe Gobi, ma in Italia non è venduta; al momento ho Dauville, che è leggermente scura, senza contare che tende un po’ ad ossidarsi, il che non aiuta di certo. Mi piace il finish che regala, nonostante il nome suggerisca un effetto matte, il risultato è invece molto naturale. La coprenza è modulabile, si può passare da una coprenza medio-bassa ad una medio-alta. Ha anche una buonissima durata, direi almeno 8 ore.

I’ve always enjoyed doing my make up, I like to play with it, mixing together different products and discovering the many results you can achieve. You know, it’s just makeup, I think it should be something funny and it shouldn’t be taken too seriously. I mean, at the end of the day you wash everything away, so don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun!

What I’ve been doing latley is mixing my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation (€ 38,00) with my Mac Prolongwear (€ 33,27) one, in order to achieve the Chanel foundation glowing finish together with the lasting powder of the Mac one. And it works perfectly!

Have I ever mention my passion for blushes? I have very pale skin and a touch of blush brings a bit of color to my complexion, giving it a nice healthy look. The one I’ve been loving for the last couple of weeks is Deep Throat from Nars (€ 30,00), a beautiful pinkish blush with a bit of glow in it. Perfect for every skintone.

My skin has been a little spotty recently, maybe because I’ve been eating tons of chocolate every day...what can I say, I can’t resist! Naughty me! Anyway, I’ve started using the La Roche Posey Effaclar Duo (€ 17,15), and it’s really helping a lot. It’s an anti-imperfection treatment with a gelly consistency that can be used morning and night. I really recommend this product if you soffer from breakouts and have combination to oily skin. For drier skins this may be not moisturizing enough, but I think you can use it in combination with a good moisturizer and that would be ok.

I’ve told you about the Clarins Lotus Oil (€ 34,95) in my haul post here, and the more I use it the more I love it. I apply three drops of it on my face two or three nights a week, it moisturizes my skin and makes it look brighter and healthier and, even if it's an oil, when I wake up in the morning my skin doesn’t look oily at all.

Another product from Calrins, but this time I’m talking about the Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner (€ 20,00). I use it two times a week after my cleanser, and it gently exfoliates the skin, making it look smoother and brighter. I don’t usually like to scrub my face, because my skin is a bit sensitive, but this lotion is very gentle and it’s very good for skins that are prone to brakeouts.

Ho sempre trovato il make up in qualche modo divertente, mi piace giocarci mescolando più prodotti per ottenere risultati nuovi e diversi. In fondo è solo trucco, non bisognerebbe prendersi troppo sul serio. E’ qualcosa che alla fine della giornata si lava via, per cui non abbiate paura di sperimentare un po’ ogni tanto. 

Quello che ho iniziato a fare ultimamente è stato mescolare il fondotinta Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (€ 38,00) con il Mac Prolongwear (€ 33,27), così da ottenere l’effetto finale naturale e luminoso del primo in combinazione alla lunga durata del secondo. E il risultato è perfetto!

Vi ho mai detto di avere una passione particolate per i blush? Avendo una carnagione molto chiara, un tocco di blush porta un po’ di colore al mio viso e mi regala un aspetto decisamente più sano. Il mio preferito ultimamente è Deep Throat di Nars (€ 30,00), si tratta di una bellissima tonalità di rosa con un leggero effetto luminoso. Perfetto per tutte le carnagioni!

Ultimamente la mia pelle non è nella sua condizione migliore, forse a causa delle tonnellate di cioccolato che sto mangiando ogni giorno…cosa posso dire, non so resistere, sono tremenda! In ogni caso, quello che mi sta davvero aiutando in questo senso è Effaclar duo di La Roche Posay (€ 17,15), un trattamento anti-imperfezione con la consistenza di un gel da utilizzare una o due volte al giorno. Lo consiglio davvero a chi ha problemi di acne o imperfezioni ed ha una pelle mista/grassa. Per le pelli più secche non credo sia sufficientemente idratante, ma utilizzandolo in combinazione ad una crema più ricca il problema dovrebbe essere risolto.

Ho già parlato del Clarins Lotus Oil (€ 34,95) nel post “Beauty Haul” qui, e devo dire che più lo uso più lo amo. Applicandone tre gocce sul viso due o tre notti la settimana idrata la mia pelle, donandole un aspetto sano e luminoso. Nonostante si tratti di un olio, al mio risveglio la mattina successiva la mia pelle non rimane affatto unta.

Altro prodotto di Clarins, questa volte sto parlando del Tonico Esfoliante Delicato (€ 20,00). Lo uso un paio di sere la settimana dopo il detergente, esfolia delicatamente la pelle e la rende morbida e luminosa. Normalmente non sono una grande amante degli srub, trovo che siano troppo aggressivi per la mia pelle sensibile, ma questo è davvero molto delicato ed è inoltre estremamente efficace nel combattere brufoli o imperfezioni.
