Being a combination to oily skinned girl, I always need to rely on powders to keep my make up fresh and shine-free, especially when I use foundations that are not supposed to be longwearing. The only think I ask for when I have to choose a powder is the ability to set my make up for long and to smooth my complexion. I don't need powders to add some coverage and I don't want them to alterate my foundation shade. This is why I usually prefer transparent powders over colored ones.
I always keep in my bag a compressed powder for any quickly touch up that might be needed during the day. The one that I'm currently loving is the Urban Decay De-Slick mattifying powder (€ 28,90). I like it because it's very easy to use, it has a mirror and a sponge, so you can use it in every moment wherever you are. I like the flawless finish it gives me and how it instantly mattify my make up. I find that, if I use it in the morning after I've applied my foundation, it doesn't last that long, but it's perfect for some touch up if, by the end of the day, I get a bit oily. I also like the fact that it's formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates and contains tea
tree oil, wich is very good for skins that are prone to breakouts.
When I want to set my foundation right after I've applied it, I usually prefer a loose powder. Don't ask me why, I think I just like the packaging they have...yeah, you know already, I'm weird, I know...Anyway, one of my favorite is without any doubts the Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals (24,90). I like ti because it's very lightweight and doesn't soffocate my skin, like most powders do. It also has the ability to keep my foundation shine-free all day long and to minimize the appearance of lines and pores wonderfully.
Another loose transparent powder I've been enjoying is the Primed & Poreless powder by Too Faced (€ 28,90). I was intrigued by the fact that this powder is supposed to be used under foundation as well as over it. It's weird but it works! When I used it under my foundation, it prep my skin like a primer, minimizing my pores and smoothing the surface of my skin, while, when applied over make up, it sets everything in place for long without being heavy or altering the shade of my foundation.
The last powder I sometimes reach for is the Essence Pure Skin Powder (€ 4,00), a compact powder that comes in 3 shade, beige, nude and sand. I have it in 01 beige, the lightest one and it's a pretty good match for my skin tone. I decided to buy it after all the positive reviews I've read and I have to admit I'm quite surprised buy the quality of this product, considering its price. This powder is aimed to combination to oily skin and it claims to have some skincare properties that should help preventing breakouts. I'm always sceptic about make up products that claim to have some healing power, so this is not the reason why I bought it. What I like about this powder is that it's super lightweight, you don't feel it on your skin at all. It also has a quite good ability to set and mattify the make up, adding just a tiny amount of coverage, which is nice for days when my skin is pretty bad!

Avendo la pelle mista che tende a lucidarsi nella zona T, ho spesso la necessità di affidarmi ad una buona cipria per mantenere fresco ed opacizzato a lungo il mio make up, soprattutto quando uso fondotinta non necessariamente pensati per durare a lungo. La caratteristica principale che ricerco in una cipria è, quindi, la capacità di fissare bene il trucco. Non ho, invece bisogno che apporti una maggiore coprenza e, soprattutto, non voglio assolutamente che alteri il colore del mio fondotinta. Per questo motivo, tendo quasi sempre ad orientarmi verso ciprie trasparenti.
Nella mia borsa è sempre presente un cipria in polvere compressa, che utilizzo per ritocchi veloci nell'arco della giornata. Al momento sto utilizzando la Urban Decay De-Slick mattifying powder (€ 28,90). Mi piace molto perché il suo packaging, dotato di specchietto e spugnetta, la rende semplice e veloce da utilizzare ovunque ed in qualunque momento. Adoro l'effetto liscio e setoso che dona alla mia pelle appena applicata e la sua capacità di opacizzare in un istante il make up. Tuttavia, trovo che, se applicata la mattina quando mi trucco, la sua durata non sia molto elevata, motivo per cui la uso solo ed esclusivamente per quei ritocchi che si rendono necessari se, verso fine giornata, noto un po' di lucidità nella zona T.
Per quanto riguarda, invece, le ciprie che utilizzo quando mi trucco la mattina, confesso di avere una predilezione per quelle in polvere libera. Non chiedetemi il perché, credo semplicemente di essere attratta dal loro packaging...già, ormai lo sapete, non sono troppo normale, lo so... In ogni caso, una delle mie preferite è la Mineral Veil di Bare Minerals (€ 24,90). Mi piace perché è leggerissima e non soffoca la pelle, come fa, invece, la maggior parte delle altre ciprie. Inoltre ha la capacità di fissare ed opacizzare il fondotinta per l'intera giornata, minimizzando egregiamente l'apparenza di pori e rughe d'espressione.
Un'altra cipria trasparente in polvere libera che sto amando molto è la Primed & Poreless di Too Faced (€ 28,90). Sono stata intrigata dal fatto che questa cipria sia pensata per essere applicata sopra e sotto al fondotinta...è strano, ma vi assicuro che funziona! Applicata prima del fondotinta agisce come un vero e proprio primer, rendendo la pelle liscia e vellutata, mentre, utilizzata come tocco finale, fissa il trucco a lungo senza essere pesante e senza alterare il colore del fondotinta.
L'ultima cipria che, a volte, mi piace utilizzare è la Pure Skin di Essence (€ 4,00), una cipria compatta disponibile in 3 colorazioni, beige, nude e sand. La mia tonalità è la 01 beige, la più chiara, e devo dire che si combina benissimo con la mia carnagione. Ho deciso di comprarla dopo aver letto numerose recensioni positive a riguardo e ammetto di essere piuttosto sorpresa dalla qualità di questo prodotto, in rapporto al suo prezzo.
E' una cipria pensata per pelli grasse, miste od impure e dovrebbe contenere ingredienti in grado di prevenire la comparsa di brufoli. A questo proposito, confesso di essere sempre molto scettica nei confronti delle proprietà curative che alcuni prodotti di make up sostengono di possedere, pertanto non è certo questo il motivo per cui ho effettuato l'acquisto. Quello che apprezzo molto di questa cipria è, invece, la sua estrema leggerezza, combinata con una buona capacità di fissare il trucco. Inoltre, è in grado di aggiungere anche un tocco di coprenza al make up, ideale per quei giorni in cui la mima pelle non è al meglio delle sue condizioni.
