This
post will be a bit different from my other weekend favorites, because I’m
going to talk about my favorite make up looks form this year's Academy Awards.
Let’s
begin!
Questo
post sarà leggermente diverso dai miei soliti Weekend favorites: mi concentrerò,
infatti, unicamente sui make up che più mi sono piaciuti tra quelli sfoggiati
dalle star sul tappeto rosso dell’ultima edizione degli Academy Awards.

The
first look I want to talk about is also my favorite: I’m talking about Cate
Blanchett's look. She has always been one of my favorite actresses and I find her
to be very elegant, charming and beautiful. The look she wore that night really
highlighted her natural beauty: she choose a very simple natural pinky make up, perfect for her pale skin, and a 40’s hair style that really suited her. (And do
we want to talk about her Armani Privè dress? Gorgeous!!)
Il
primo look di cui vi voglio parlare è anche il mio preferito: mi riferisco a
quello sfoggiato dalla vincitrice come miglior attrice protagonista, Cate
Blanchett.
Non
vi nascondo che nutro nei confronti di questa donna una vera adorazione, non
solo è una delle mie attrici preferite, ma trovo anche che sia estremamente
bella, elegante ed affasciante.
Il
look che ha scelto sottolinea senz’altro la sua natirale bellezza: ha sfoggiato
un make up molto naturale basato sui toni del rosa, che bene si adatta alla sua
carnagione chiara, e un’acconciatura anni 40 che le dona molto. (E vogliamo
parlare di quella meraviglia d’abito firmato Armani Privè?)

Lupita
Niong’o was gorgeous in her pale blu dress and her make up was just perfect: I
love her pink lips and her long black eyelashes. Simple and very sophisticated!
She’s naturally beautyful!

you cried too during her acceptance speech? I did!)

Niong’o era meravigliosa nel suo abito azzurro pallido e il suo make up era
semplicemente perfetto: bellissime le labbra rosa e le lunghe ciglia nere.
Semplice e sofisticata. E’ davvero una bellezza naturale, non ha bisogno di
molto make up!

I
would do anything to have Amy Adams's red hair! Really! Though I have to say that
I’m not a fan of her updo, I like her natural orangy make up a lot! It really
suits her skin and, again, I like the fact that it’s very simple and natural,
but also very feminine and sophisticated.
Non
sapete cosa sarei disposta a fare per avere i bellissimi capelli rossi di Amy
Adams! Davvero! Anche se devo confessare di non amare particolarmente l’acconciatura
che ha sfoggiato per la serata, trovo stupendo il suo trucco sui toni
del corallo. Si adatta molto bene alla sua carnagione e, anche in questo caso,
mi piacciono la semplicità e la naturalezza del look, che, allo stesso tempo,
risulta molto femminile ed elegante.

Kerry
Washington choose a dark berry lipstick and long black lashes to emphatize her
eyes and the result is wonderful. And do we want to talk about her flawless
skin?

Washington ha optato per labbra ciliegia e ciglia nere e foltissime per
enfatizzare lo sguardo. Non poteva sbagliare. E vogliamo parlare della sua
pelle perfetta?

I
have to say I don’t like Emma Watson’s hair style, I don’t think it’s the kind
of look to wear for a night like this, but that’s just my personal opinion and
she's so young and nice that we can forgive her everything. However, I like a lot
her red lips, her long lashes and her glowing skin.
Devo
dire che l’acconciatura di Emma Watson non mi è piaciuta per niente, non l’ho
trovata adatta ad una serata di questo tipo, ma è solo la mia opinione e, d’altronde,
lei è talmente giovane e carina che può tranquillamente permettersi tutto.
Tuttavia, mi è piaciuto molto il suo make up: labbra rosse, ciglia lunghissime
e incarnato luminoso.

Last
but not least, Kate Hudson: she wore a soft smokey eyes look combined with pinkish nude lips. I like the fact that the her smokey eyes effect was not too
intense and that she choose a natural glossy lipstick in order to sweeten the whole look. Beautiful!

Infine,
Kate Hudson ha scelto smokey eyes non eccessivamente marcati, abbinati a
labbra effetto nude rosato. Ho apprezzato molto la scelta di non calcare troppo la
mano sugli occhi e di abbinarli a labbra semplici e luminose per addolcire l’effetto
finale. Bellissima!
